Vinyl liner in ground pool, this worked
36 x 16 vinyl liner inground pool. We have been losing about 2 inches of water each week for years. The liner was replaced in 2024 and when opened for the 2025 season we were still experiencing that obvious loss.I applied one bottle of this product per the directions, and followed those directions through the entire process. The final directions say to let the pool sit with pump OFF for 72 hours. This is to let the product react with oxygen and set up. After the first 24 hours I marked water level...48 hours later no water loss. This step proves no leak through the liner or the fittings like steps, skimmer or light.Next step is run the pool pump (recirculation bypasses the filter) through main drain only. I ran through main drain for 2 days...no water loss through main drain suction path.Final step, run through skimmer suction path only. 2 days later zero water loss.I ran our pool robot multiple times with the pump still on recirculation (bypasses filter) to get the remnants of the product (it goes to the bottom).Switch from recirculation to filter. Backlash after a few days and all done.No idea how long this will last but I'll do it again next year with our openWould I recommend this to a friend? Yes.

Wow!!!
I cant believe this worked as well or as fast as it did!! My inground pool return line had a massive leak under the concrete pad.... it looked like a garden hose on full blast coming from under my concrete. I thought it was time to dig up the concrete but a bottle of this stopped it within a few hours!!! Saved me a season and thousands of dollars!!!

The Real Deal!
I followed directions to the T and...@#%*! THIS STUFF WORKS!!As a repair tech I'm well familiar with "stop leak" products used in many industries. Some work better than others and exact circumstances can make all hit or miss. I was actually pretty skeptical about the ability of a working solution (punintended) to fix my good ol' 4-person hot tub, the victim of a winter power failure that caused freezing in the water lines. That would be a fatal condition for most tubs, but NOT the hard-won "portable" tub that I vowed I would never try moving again in my lifetime. Not that there's all that much of that remaining, but all the more motivation to bring my beloved "Think Tub" back to life. So, after rebuilding the heater (too old and costly to replace) and replacing the pump, it was with INDESCRIBABLE sadness I discovered the tub was leaking water from points unknown at rate that would make it more suited as a planter. My indefatigable nature--exacerbated by $200 repairs already expended--led me to Fix-a-Leak. Reviews were surprisingly positive, but even if it wasn't snake oil I didn't have much confidence it would work for my potentially sieve-like tub. After some reflection I decided I could spring for another $22 before crying "uncle!" May well have turned out to be the best $22 I've ever spent! It took me 3 months to garner enough courage and emotional fortitude (oh, and time) to carry out the steps required to check the stuff out. Had I opened the bottle immediately I may have been encouraged enough to try sooner, when the weather was more conducive to the company's online "warm weather" instructions. No matter, they provide instructions for freezing weather as well and those are the ones I followed. Admittedly between those instructions and the actual liquid characteristics I was encouraged. It made sense. The solution is viscous enough, and obviously contains particulates, probably rubberized, that, when well-suspended in the tub water, could coagulate at the leak points and, eventually, HOPEFULLY build up to the point of flow stoppage. In my case, THOSE LITTLE BUGGERS DID JUST THAT!After a single treatment using the 1/3 bottle recommended for a hot tub, the leakage appeared to be completely stopped. The manufacturer mentions that without the drying-out period that is infeasible during cold weather I may need to re-apply come Spring. No worries. There are still 2 applications left in my bottle. Maybe I'll be motivated to update this review down the line. For now I have no compunction about giving this product my unreserved recommendation for pools and hot tubs. I'm a believer!

Good, inexpensive temporizing fix
works well but needs to periodically be re-applied. Follow directions very closely. Still some leaking, but very managable.

This stuff is magic!
Okay, all the 5-star reviews are right. This stuff is magic. I have a 7-year-old leaking hot tub, so I re-sealed all of the bulkhead fittings with o-rings and silicon. It still leaked, so I dug all the foam out, put the tub up on jack stands, filled it up and found the plumbing leak. I used JB Weld Marine epoxy to fix the plumbing joint that was leaking. After four months of this and filling it multiple times, there was still a small dripping leak. Before I put gasoline in it and lit it on fire out of exasperation, I used Fix-A-Leak. It is now 100% leak free. Not a drop!

Worked for me
My hot tub is 22 years old and a few years ago I replaced all the major components. Over the winter I started loosing about 10 gallons or water a week the leak got increasing worse. This spring I was filling the tub every other day and the base noticeably wet. I used this product and the leak is almost non existent. I wasn’t ready for a new tub and this may have bought me another year or two…

I imagine this would work for smaller leaks
Worked for about 2 days. I guess the leak in my hot tub is just too large :(

Amazing product and worth trying!
My hot tub began to leak in October 2024 after a routine draining, cleaning, and refilling. It was losing several inches every few days and the temps were dropping below 40 at night. I ordered the Fix-A-Leak and waited until the nightly temps would not be dropping below 40 degrees. I followed the instructions and honestly didn't think it would work since my hot tub had been sitting empty and unused all winter but it WORKED!! I was so upset that I couldn't use my hot tub for months but was so very happy that I didn't have to replace it. This product is DEFINITELY worth trying before replacing your hot tub due to a leak.
