CafflanoKompresso, Handheld Espresso Maker

I bought this very lightweight espresso maker for a trip and it worked amazingly well. Used correctly it makes *true* espresso, not just strong coffee.So far I've made about 100 ~14g shots and every single one has been drinkable. In fact, I like it so much that most days I make a second or third shot with the Cafflano instead of waiting for my Synchornika to warm up. It's also help me decrease my caffeine intake just a tad with the 14g capacity. There are some good videos that show different techniques and I recommend using one elbow and upper body pressure instead of using two hands. Once you get the beans, grind and dose dialed in you're in for a real treat. Highly recommended.For air travel, I paired it with a 1Zpresso J-Ultra hand grinder. The combination was awesome. In the past, for car trips I've used my heavier Mypressi Twist but that would have been much heavier and bulky for my carryon-only luggage, (let alone the prohibition on flying with the necessary CO2 cartridges).

I switch from my daily drip coffee to kompresso and it’s worth it! It’s definitely not up to the level of real espresso yet! However, it’s much more accessible and save me money from buying espresso from store time to time!

Amazing for what it is! Provided you know what to expect and how to manage your grinder, temperature, tamping etc this will produce a very enjoyable espresso. Is it the same as the espressos produced by a semi professional/professional set up? No, however it is a lot similar to a real espresso than any other portable devices could ever achieve.Combine this with a decent hand grinder and you have a very interesting travel/portable set up. Highly recommended.
