The tool is so small and smooth it is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the clip would have made it more cumbersome. **Q: where is it made?** A: China? Deal breaker for me! **Q: What is the exact dimensions of the blade from the base? TSA allows a blade that is less than 6 cm long and 1/2 inch wide to be carried on a flight.** A: No blades of any size are allowed in carrying on, in the states. After getting on 50+ different flights in 2019, with this Gerber in my carry on TSA finally stopped me and told me I can not bring this on. Sold bit of kit which has seen many operational tours. Sadly, the Gerber dime does not live up to its history, having dropped the tool from a table at 3ft height, the whole thing fell apart... retaining screws sheard and the component parts came away. Poor quality, even after an accidental drop I'd expectorant from Gerber. Leatherman has always seemed over priced in my view BUT maybe you get what you pay for.
