Drive Medical Designer Folding Cane with T Handle, Black

As the title says, this cane is all of those things. A 20yr old coming off of hip surgery, I was told I needed a cane for support in the interim between crutches and unassisted walking. I didn't want a "fuddy duddy" cane and needed something inexpensive but well made to support me. This cane is a beautiful finish, no flaws in the hand part or the shaft, very affordable, extremely stable - even for being a collapsible style, and the hand grip is quite comfortable for being just wood without extra padding. 5 stars overall, and I love that its collapsible so I'm able to throw it in my bag just in case I get tired and need it while I'm out. Excellent product!

Great product overall, accurate to expectations. Build quality seems very good for a no-nonsense product at this price point. The "plastic carrying case" is thin and flimsy like a sandwich bag, while the thick and sturdy band used to hold the product in place in packaging would have been perfect if it were designed for reuse. May as well call it a wash and bring a rubber band if you plan on folding this up.My only major gripe is with the needlessly orange collar. Solid black would be just fine, okay guys? I'm not looking for a little flair. In less seriousness, the insert with the elderly woman and her cane felt kind of insulting. Why not depict a dapper gentleman looking stylish with his sleek Drive cane instead? Not all of us using things like this are geriatric.

I haven't used it yet, but am sure it will be fine. Well made.

This cane does NOT have a foam grip. It is a completely hard material that is painful on the hands. What's worse is that it is non-returnable, and you have to jump through a million hoops to contact the manufacturer. Amazon keeps trying to reroute me to "troubleshoot" the cane. What am I supposed to troubleshoot??? I want a refund for false advertising.

I occasionally need a cane, and I decided to buy this one as an extra my for brief case. I already have another Drive Medical folding cane and truthfully when I purchased it at a local drug store is was three time this price. This cane is a great value and folds perfectly to fit in my computer case

The cane came nicely packaged and was easy to put back together. It is sturdy but I would have preferred it to be more sturdy. Although I am close to the weight limit and your mileage might vary.The decorative metal ring around the handle looks good but its edge feels sharp around the skin of my palm.I'm satisfied with it for the purpose I'm going to use it and for the money I paid for it, but I would not have it as my primary cane.

This cane is the same as the Medline folding cane with wooden handle. This cane has the same plastic pouch and printed card as the Medline.Medline: Elastic wrist strap. Velcro strip to hold in folded position. Cost $12 USDrive Medical: Heavy plastic sleeve, with hanging hook, to slide the folded cane into, very good. No elastic wrist strap, and no Velcro. Cost $9 USI promptly lost the Velcro strip and threw the pouch away.I have been using the Medline cane since about September 2016 and the central elastic is still good, the cane is wearing well, I replaced the cane tip today for the first time.

I need a cane about 5% of the time. I used a cheap folding cane for over a year. Finally decided to upgrade to this slightly more expensive folding cane. It’s definitely worth the extra ten bucks. Differences between this and the cheap cane are- higher weight capacity,- better foot (the cheap plastic foot on my old cane made a racket, this one is quiet,- much better build quality including thicker metal and better elastic,- comes with a clip to hold the cane when folded.Only negative is that it doesn’t come with a wrist strap. Definitely happy with this purchase.

When my hubby had an ’all of a sudden’ bout of sciatica, I checked Amazon for canes and got it delivered overnight. This one fit the bill. Good quality and it helped him get around a bit better (he’s about 190 pounds). Next up was a snazzy red walker, but that’s for another review. ;)

This product is exactly what I was looking for. It is very sturdy and is worth the price. I had bought an Antdvao folding cane prior to this one but returned it because it was not sturdy enough. But the Drive Medical Designer is a better make.

Believe it is wobbly and not as secure and ridgid units.
