Best Gluten Free Pasta You Will Ever Eat!!!!!
At the age of 36 I just had to switch to a gluten free diet due to allergies. Before this I was a total carboholic and lived on breads and pastas. I have to be honest in saying that when I switched to rice pasta I felt aside from the texture I wasn't missing out on anything I mean...I thought that pasta was just a vehicle for great sauces.I originally received a free sample of this product when someone directed me to their website. From the first taste I realized that I had been missing the flavor of regular pasta....somehow this rice pasta is different from the rest both in texture and taste. It really tastes JUST LIKE regular wheat pasta. The texture and firmness seems to hold up a lot better too. I'm not sure how they did this but I'm so glad they did. I have been eating nothing but this brand of pasta now for a while and have no interest in even trying any other GF pasta. So basically...if you can't eat gluten eat this pasta...and especially if you have had to recently change to a GF diet after years of eating regular wheat pasta then this really is the choice for you.

Mygluten eaters love this
I really love the Jovial brand of gluten free pasta. It took me a bit to get the cooking down just right, but now I've got it, the stuff is great. Even my Italian exchange student enjoyed this brand of pasta. I found that adding olive oil to the pot helps a lot, and good Celtic or other salt helps as well. The taste and texture are excellent, and you can even reheat it the next day as long as there is some moisture in the leftovers. If you just have the pasta, sprinkle some cold water and a tad of oil on it and mix it in. Cover well, and you can enjoy it the next day. Note that if you let it cook too long, it will get gummy and clump together. Stir it gently as you cook it. I love the Bionaturae, but it's a bit pricier, and my budget loves saving any it can.

A better gluten free alternative, but only if you must avoid wheat
This is the best gluten free alternative we've found to wheat pasta. Although it's not as good as wheat in taste or consistency, it's an acceptable option if you can't eat wheat. Rice-based alternatives like this however, tend to fall apart if cooked too long and when refrigerated after cooking. Nevertheless, it is reasonably good to eat when freshly cooked. An editorial: Too many people are being falsely told they have a wheat allergy. We see this more frequently today, and specifically, we found that an allergist (not a physician) who claimed that my wife is gluten intolerant had overstated the facts as later verified by two allergy doctors. So, we're happily back to wheat pasta with no problems.

Best gluten free pasta on the market
After being diagnosed with celiac I tried at least a dozen brands of gluten free pasta before finding Jovial. Some were terrible and some were tolerable, but none were acceptable to my 5 year old until I tried Jovial. This is hands down by far the best gluten free pasta available on the market. It looks and tastes just like regular pasta. Anyone would be hard pressed to know this was gluten free pasta. Here in the NJ/NY metropolitan area we expect a lot from our pasta and Jovial would stand up with the best of them. Even my mother, who is undoubtedly the most finnicky eater I know, was fine eating this pasta, which is the best endorsement any food product can get. Don't hesitate to try this GF pasta, you will not be disappointed.

Not As Good As I'd Hoped
Every review I'd read of this pasta was glowing, so we thought we'd try it. I've been gluten free for almost two years, and so far, we've tried Trader Joe's, Tinkyada, Schar, Bionaturae, and Le Veneziane pastas. We assumed Jovial would quickly become our favorite. Instead, we found it somewhat disappointing. The flavor is very nice, but the texture was disappointingly similar to the other brown rice pastas we'd tried. We were careful to follow the timing recommendations on the box too. I have several more boxes, so if I make Jovial again with better results, I'll update this review. Meanwhile, our favorite pasta remains Le Veneziane.

I actually thought I was going to have to give up pasta when I gave up wheat
Got a big surprise recently when I shared a pizza with my husband. I literally could not breathe. I'd been cutting back on breads and I realized that the wheat caused an allergy attack.Figured I would have to give up pasta, but no. Friends told me about Jovial.Big surprise. I like Jovial Penne better than wheat pasta. Instead of the glue taste I get even in the better pastas, I get a nice nutty flavor. It's delicious with a garden tomato sauce. I can't wait to try a lasagna. The pasta cooks about the same time as regular wheat pasta, too. Even if you're not allergic to wheat, it's worth trying Jovial for the taste. My non-allergic husband likes it, too.Rebecca McFarland Kyle, March 2013

Best dried gluten free pasta available!
Once I had to go gluten free, I tried every wheat pasta alternative I could find. This tastes far better than Tinkyada brand pasta, which I was told was the best of the best. Any corn or quinoa pasta I tried tasted worse than eating the box it came in. When I brought pasta salad made with this penne to a picnic, it was devoured in an instant; no one could believe it was gluten free. The best pasta by far (gluten free or traditional) is homemade with Manini flours (or fresh in the refrigerated case at stores in Seattle like Whole Foods.) If you don't want to go to the trouble of making your own (or live in Seattle), Jovial pasta is a sure winner!

Best gluten free pasta we've found
My teenage daughter and I are on a gluten free diet. We've tried several pastas but all of them had unusual textures. When she tasted this one, she told me it's "almost freaky" how much it tastes like regular wheat pasta. I like the fact that it doesn't have a long list of ingredients I can't pronounce. It's brown rice and nothing more. The only thing we don't like about it is that is the texture the next day. We tried using it for a pasta salad for her lunch and it didn't taste that great. But if you eat it as hot pasta as soon as you make it, it's very good.
