Frontier Co-op Organic Parsley Leaf Flakes, 1 Pound Bulk Bag

The Parsley I bought previously was unavailable, so I thought I’d give this one a try. I’m glad I did, because I’m happy with it – the color is good, it definitely smells like a good dried Parsley should, it tastes good and it seems fresh. I like that it is organic and for a 16 oz bag, the price is good. Since Parsley weighs very light, a 16 oz bag is very large and will last a long time, so even though the expiry date on my bag is a good 20 months from when I received it, it encourages me to use it in more things, which is good. I do grow Parsley in my garden, but there are plenty of dishes where using dried Parsley works better, so it’s always good to have this in the pantry.

The product met my expectation and will buy it again

I started using a LOT of parsley this summer. I was putting it into everything...especially homemade sandwich spreads like tuna fish and chicken salad. I use so much I thought it would be too expensive to keep buying small bottles of dried parsley since I didn't dry any of my own. I saw this brand and decided to try it since it's organic and has lots of good reviews. I wasn't disappointed when my order came. This dried parsley is lovely. It's been properly dried and there's SOOO much of it. This huge bag will last me all winter long. I put some in a pint mason jar to keep in the cabinet, put a lot more in a large Food Saver air tight container to store in a dry cool place, and then put the last of it in a gallon size freezer bag with all the air sucked out. Note about that...when I sucked out the air from the bag a few pieces of dried parsley flew into my mouth. As soon as they hit my tongue, the flakes hydrated and started filling my mouth with the taste of fresh parsley. This is a winner for a very fair price. I highly recommend this dried parsley when fresh isn't available.
