Game-Changing Slicker Brush That Delivers Professional Results
I’ve used a lot of grooming tools over the years, and this slicker brush absolutely stands out. The extra-long stainless steel pins are the real deal—they get deep into the undercoat and pull out loose hair, tangles, and dirt with way less effort than other brushes I’ve tried. It’s amazing how much this thing pulls out, even on dogs that don’t look like they’re shedding. The ergonomic handle makes a big difference too. It’s comfortable, doesn’t slip, and lets you work longer without your hand getting tired. The flat slicker head is gentle but effective, so you’re not scratching or irritating your dog’s skin. What I really like is that it works on everything—thick coats, long coats, double coats—you name it. I’ve used it on multiple dogs and it performs equally well across the board. It feels like the kind of tool professional groomers use, and it’s built solid enough to last. If you’re looking for a high-quality slicker brush that actually does what it promises, this one is worth every penny. Highly recommend.

Best brush ever for husky mix!!
We have a husky mix and she can get so mangy!! We pay for deshedding a few times a year but needed something to use inbetween. I tried several different brushes and it just didn't pull out the clumps, but THIS DID! Fantastically! I brushed her for about 15 minutes and got a huge pile of fur and our doggo looked so much better! And isn't shedding in the house nearly so much. Best dog brush that I have ever tried for this breed. And, the bristles are sturdy--no damage at all after a hard workout. It's not as easy to clean as some brushes--you just have to pull the hair out, but that's not bad. Definitely recommend this!

Efficient and well built.
A must-have for every Husky parent. Mine hates being brushed, so the fact that I can get so much hair in less time makes it less of a chore. It's strong and efficient enough for fluffy dogs and gentle for short-haired dogs, too. It works on my English Bulldog, too, but for him, getting brushed is like having a spa day.

Typical Slicker Brush - works as described
I loved the price. For a competitor brand name slicker brush the price was 30. This is the same product as another big name slicker brush. While I love the other brand, for a 15.00 price difference. I ordered this brush taking a risk. I figured worst case I would send it back if I didn't like it. That said, the brush is nice. Not to heavy, not too light (that is a thing btw). Perfect, nice handle grip. We use this A LOT. As this is being used in a professional setting - pet grooming. It works. It does what it should. We will see long term if the issue of separating happens as did with our Andis brush. I will update after a few months. For the brush itself five stars thus far. But I do reserve the right to change the stars in the future. What I didn't like actually wasn't a problem with the brush. It was the packaging! It came in a huge box with packing peanuts. I hate peanuts. This company doesn't know that. I hate them. As they floof out of the box and my little naughty dog (chihuahua, read he is a lovely jerk whom we love) tried to eat the stupid peanuts. A scuffle ensued. Little dog did NOT eat the peanuts in the end. But he was close. I loved the packaging itself but I am just not sure how to recycle the peanuts safely. As I have a dog that will eat medications if they are dropped he took these as food. Had I known that packing peanuts were used I would have put him in another room. (Yes, he is that much of a "challenge" sometimes.) So in closing, brush good. Peanuts bad. I took a star off but I am not sure that was fair. :/

Perfect for Goldendoodle Grooming
Unfortunately, a lot of people get "doodle" breed dogs thinking that since they are low shedding that they are also low maintenance. That's only true if you plan on having them come home from the groomer looking like a shaved rat. If you want a fluffy doodle that is tangle free with a long coat and healthy skin, you need to brush them out regularly, preferably daily. That requires specific tools including a steel comb and slicker brush. From my experience, most metal combs are pretty similar, but there is a BIG difference in slicker brushes out there on the market today. Trust me, I have over 6 different brands of slicker brush and 3 different metal combs. I also recommend some sort of grooming table, as it will save your back and be easier and safer for your dog. At this point I use the metal comb, this slicker brush, and my Chris Christensen slicker brush to maintain my dog's coat daily between regular grooming (every 3-4 weeks). This brush is much stiffer than other slicker brushes I have. It's perfect for areas like the legs, feet, and behind the tail where mats tend to form. If you go very slow and careful with the brushing and stay on top of the grooming, it's a painless and enjoyable bonding experience for both you and your dog! After brushing out the problem areas with this stiff Paw Brothers slicker brush, I will comb over the area with my metal comb to make sure no tangles remain. Last, I use the Chris Christensen brush to finish up because it's much softer and good for fluffing up the dog and making her look great. The Chris Christensen brush is too soft though to get out the underlying tangles in a very long coat though, which is why this Paw Brothers brush is so good. My only complaint, is that because the brush is so stiff, it's a little difficult to get the hair out of it. On my Chris Christensen brush I can run my comb through it and vacuum it up to pick up the hair, but this one stays pretty messy. Not too big a deal for most people but I'm a little OCD and don't like to leave hair everywhere. When I first brought home my Goldendoodle, I had already done all the research and thought I was well prepared by buying the most expensive grooming tools (Chris Christensen). But as her coat got longer and more difficult to manage, my groomer suggested I try out this inexpensive brush, which I think is a steal and excellent value. It has been a game changer and shaved off 15 minutes from daily brushing. You don't need $100 brushes to maintain your dog, just time and patience. You can get both this brush and a metal comb for like $20 or so combined and it will be enough to maintain your doodle! Hope this was helpful and good luck maintaining your goldendoodle!!

This is great for my cavapoo's curly hair, which is a bit overlong at the moment. The brush is quite big, so can be a bit difficult between the legs on very small dogs. Ideally I need to get the same, but smaller. Good long pins, which work well to untangle hair before it gets too matted. I'd say it pulls on the hair too much to work on an established matt, especially in sensitive areas.

Great for my Pyrenees and maremma. I like that it captures the hair in the brush and doesn’t float all over the place when brushing the dogs.
