Best brush style
Why did you pick this product vs others?:After having a slicker brush for 10+ years, I misplaced it. My dog Gypsy was in need of a good brushing and bath. I ordered this one because it was within my budget and had good reviews. As soon as it arrived, I was brushing Gypsy. Worked exactly as it should. It easily removed the thick winter undercoat without hurting her skin. Next will be my cats and goats.I hope that this brush lasts as long as my last one.I recommend this brush for anyone who has dogs, cats, horses, goats etc. Just don't push too hard, it can scratch the skin. I have been using this type of brush for over 50 years and will not use any other.

Perfect brush for my Golden!
I bought the Paw Brothers Professional Grade Extra Long Slicker Brush for my golden retriever, and it has been a game-changer! The extra-long pins reach deep into his thick coat, making it easy to remove loose undercoat and tangles without causing discomfort. The ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold, even during long grooming sessions, and the brush does a fantastic job of keeping his fur looking smooth and healthy. It’s durable, well-made, and way more effective than other brushes I’ve tried. If you have a long-haired or double-coated dog, this brush is a must-have! Highly recommend!

Gentle on skin yet truly brushed out mats
I’m a retired professional pet groomer. I also love this brush at home. I’ve bought Ryan’s brushes for 20+ years because they are the best for fluffy hair -both cats and dogs. This works wonderfully to keep Doodles from getting too tangled. It pulls out winter coat from Shepards, Heelers, Labs, etc. I give them as gifts to friends with these types of pets, reminding them it works best with frequent use. I most treasure mine while blow drying a pet to straighten its hair before trimming. Dogs with more fragile skin such as Poodles, Bichons, Maltese, Lhasas, Shih Tzus, and elderly pets, need this soft tipped brush. Look carefully at the size before you order. Small are great for cats. XL is best for medium to large dogs. The extra cost is worth it! One of my brushes is 15+ years old and still great! *Hidden feature: try letting your cat rub its face against a clean brush. My cat now asks for this daily. I had to buy one more just for the little queen. Finally, she lets me brush her whole body without yelling. 🙂 Thanks, Ryan’s, for the range of excellent products on your site: ‘Ryan’s Pet Supply,’ but also for making these brushes easier to get by listing on Amazon.

Doodle required bush!
I wish I had found this brush sooner. I have 3 labradoodles and have always kept their coats short because most slicker brushes don't go deep enough to prevent matting when their coats become long. This brush does the job and does it well. I have an elderly girl who's coat has thinned and tends to have sensitive skin, of my 3 she was the only one who didn't like it but to be fair she doesn't care for any brushing unless it's done by hand (petting her)Having 3 labradoodles can become costly when it comes to professional grooming and I'm glad that I decided to invest in a nice set of clippers and a few blades as well as guards (andis agc 2 speed, cuts like butter even through matting), a grooming table found on local resale site for $30, good shampoo (Plum silky concentrated conditioning shampoo) this shampoo smells amazing and keeps them smelling nice for over a week and since it's concentrated a bottle really last so I find it more economical than the cheap ones found at most retailers. Oh, also purchased a pet blow dryer for under 100 that is amazing. This brush was the last thing I needed to complete what I feel is necessary to keep my trio looking, smelling, and feeling their best. The cost i incurred is about equivalent to taking all 3 to a groomer. For those who think they can't do it, you can. Especially if you've got a dog or dogs that require a lot of grooming needs (doodles, poodles, etc) if you messaged up, it's ok! Their hair grows pretty quickly and unlike us humans their egos aren't an issue. They'll still love you as you learn even if you make them look ugly a few times

Great brush for thick coats
This brush works great for my English Chocolate Lab. She has a really thick undercoat and this gets way in there to get that hair out. It works way better than a furminator brush on her. The only thing that is hard is getting all the hair out of the brush.
