WEN CM1452 15-Amp 14-Inch Premium Multi-Material Cut-Off Chop Saw with Carbide-Tipped Metal-Cutting Saw Blade

I needed something to cut up to 14 gauge cold formed steel. My first choice was a horizontal band saw for their greater capacity and reduced noise. For whatever reason the Wen I was interested in was not currently available. So with some hesitation; complaints about the blade dulling quickly, I opted for this wen cut off chop saw with a second alternate blade for backup. I could not be happier. While I would not describe it as a hot knife, it has powered through better than 20 cuts 14 ga 4” studs with no sign of dulling. It screams (loud) and fillings go everywhere but cuts are clean and square. It is built solidly. I cannot not speak to its long term reliability but at this point I would definitely recommend it to others and buy it again myself.

This is an amazing saw for the price. Build quality is very close to saws for almost twice the price. Cuts through most metals like it was just a piece of wood. I would definitely recommend this saw. This is my first WEN product and as long as their other products compare, it will not be my last. I initially purchased the WEN saw that sales for less money, but canceled my order and purchased this saw after comparing the base of this saw to other high quality saws.

Cuts ok, been cutting 11-gauge thru 3/16 square tubing. Impossible to get a good deg. cut as fence is not 90 deg. to base. When you tighten the clamp, it rolls the tube back making it impossible to get good 45% cut.

Me encanta, esta máquina en comparación con mis otras dos chop saw de disco abrasivo esto corta recto y rápido el metal .no se cuanto durará el disco porque solo e cortado como 60 tubos 1×2 calibre 18 y sigue cortando perfectamente. Mi miedo era el envió pero llegó rápido y en perfectas condiciones. Recomiendo encarecidamente.

The media could not be loaded. This thing is a beast, not much more to say. It chews through 2 7/8 inch pipe like a college football team at a free buffet. I used 4 1/2” for my gate entrance and it cut though it the same way. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

I'm really surprised at this saw. I have had nothing but positive experiences from Wen and have come to expect high quality at affordable prices. Not so with this pile of junk.It blew up 2 months after purchase. Note, not "stopped working", but "blew up".Even prior to this, it couldn't cut straight to save its life. Even with the handle preventing rotation of the fence firmly tightened, securing a work piece would knock it out of square.I hated this saw, and really lost my faith in Wen.

Haven’t used it too much but it does cut like glass…extremely noisy when cutting

The saw guard hit a piece of metal stuck while cutting a 45 degree angle cut and the guard broke off, and now doesn’t retract when trying to cut something.The 90 degree cut is not square. Have tried to adjust the hex screw and still not square.Other than that this saw will cut through 1/4 plate like if it were wood. This saw is a beast!

After all the time using a chop saw with a disc, I was at the end of my rope. I forked out the cash for the lower rpm WEN that came with a blade. Couldn't be happier with how this cuts through all the steel I throw at it in my shop. Saves me so much time, and the cuts are straight with no burrs. Happy here.
