Worked GREAT for my dog's neuter recovery!
My dog was recently neutered and did not want that hard plastic cone! I purchased this same one for another dog that was neutered 3 years ago and it worked perfectly! The idea is that the dog should have a shorter snout and the donut must be sized correctly. I think it might not work if you order one too small or your dog has a long snout, like a German Shepherd. My dog has a 13" neck so I ordered the medium and it fits exactly as it should! He can't reach his stitches if you keep it inflated correctly. I ordered a second one so I can have it if this one happens to start leaking or I need to wash it. I put my dog's existing collar through the loops inside so I can hook the leash easily to it for walks! It doesn't matter which side faces out so I keep the back side out so I can add air to the valve if needed without removing it. I took it off to do an adjustment to the collar and my dog fought me when I tried to put it back on him! My first one started to deflate after about a week. I think it might have been from the valve not seating really well. I did add a little spit to the inside of the valve to help it seal even better. This might keep the air up for the 14 days of recovery. My dog rubs against the bushes outside and it holds up fine, but I have to keep him from going near the rose bushes that will definitely puncture it. I don't let my other dog roughhouse during the recovery time because that could also puncture it. A spare donut is cheap insurance! I would definitely give it a try if you are like most people that have bad experiences with those Cones of Shame!!UPDATE! I inflated the second donut to allow me to wash the first one. Because the Bladder inside was cold it would not fully expand to full size. I took it out of the cloth shell and put it in a sink with warm water to allow it to expand more! I inflated it and it did stretch larger. I dried it and deflated it to insert into the shell. The inflation nozzle will PUSH IN but it is stiff! After reinflating it again it did reach a FULL TIGHT SIZE! I think this is why my first donut did prevent my dog from reaching his stitches!

Comfortable, Big Enough & Stays On
The fabric is soft. The XL sizing is quite large and is perfect for my 85lb Akbash, and she only tried to take it off a couple of times and then became used to it and has left it on (very unlike her). The adjustable collar it comes with is an added fantastic help. Wonderful product. Thanks.

I have a Shiba
I followed the sizing instructions and needed a large. This is a great product. The downsize is he can still reach his incision (He was neutered). If he had an incision anywhere else this would work perfectly. If the donut was like 2 inches bigger it would stop him.

It's a portable pillow
We have a dog with allergies who is prone to licking hotspots. This has helped to combat that issue, and the dog absolutely LOVES it. As far as he's concerned, it's a portable pillow. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that we have already needed to buy a second one, as the first one got a hole in it. I'm sure the hole was caused by our dog trying to scratch his neck, but his nails aren't sharp and they had to go through the outer fabric as well, which leads me to believe the inner ring is a thinner, lower quality plastic to have popped so easily.

Works nicely for breaks from cone!
This inflatable is very cute, soft, and easy to clean. It’s a bit too loose despite measuring for size so I can’t leave my dog in it unsupervised, but it’s great when he needs to be able to eat and drink and have a break from the big plastic cone.

Worked for a while
Have an active large breed dog? This may not be the product you are looking for. Probably best for less active and small nosed dogs. German shepherd is still able to lick most parts of his body and the collar no longer holds air for more a few hours after a week of wearing.

Super cute and effective!
I first got a clear cone for my dog, but that made her panicky, so then I found this, and it worked like a charm! My dog wasn’t anxious about it, and she was even chill about putting it on.Like the details said, she could still eat and drink.Sometimes she would even use the donut as a pillow while laying down on her side! One of her front paws would sometimes get stuck on the fabric strap after laying down, but it was an easy fix and didn’t cause my dog any distress. 10/10 would recommend

Almost perfect
Love this collar, it's super cute! For anyone who's wondering about the fit. My boy is 95lbs and his neck circumference is roughly 24". We ordered the XL. I wish it was a bit bigger as he can slightly still reach his privates after neutering. It beats the cone of shame by a long shot, but it may have to come out once I go to work next week and leave him home during the day. Otherwise it's great when I'm around, and luckily he isn't too inclined to reach around it so far. If possible, and depending on your pup's build, I'd suggest sizing up!

Life saver for anxious dog
This collar saved my old doggo's life. He is super anxious and totally shut down with the plastic cone collar.Fabrics is solid, widths adjustement work great and the clip insure it won't come loose.+1 point because it's super cute.Shipping was a little long but I don't think its seller's fault.

Sadly did not work for my dog.
The product is well made and comfortable. We purchased it to aid in the recovery of our 75-pound golden retriever after his neutering procedure. However, he was still able to access his wound, so we decided to switch to a surgical suit instead.

Inflatable cushion durability and quality questionable
I ordered the donut for my 80lb shephard dog, and while it worked fine the first few times, it developed a pinhole defect/leak along a seam of the inflatable cushion.Unfortunately, when my dog is wearing it and lies down, the donut deflates within an hour. I have tried to repair it but no luck, not sure if there's a warranty/replacement available but the quality of the inflatable cushion just doesn't match the price point.
