Works pretty well
So I have purchased a few nice rings for my wife over the years, and she tends not to clean them at all, so I usually like to do that for her. There is a big difference between a clean stone and one that is dirty, a really big difference. I took a before and after picture of the ring that I cleaned for her, and I'm not too sure the camera does it justice, but I can tell you that it did a nice job of cleaning up the topaz, and the diamonds on the band. I sort of wish it had turned out a little better as far as the picture was concerned. I guess I should have use my macro lens to really get in there. Anyhow, the stones looked much nicer after. Now to be honest, I usually would just use an old toothbrush with a little hand soap, and I think it does pretty much as well. That being said, I do like the applicator pen, accept that I felt I really had to turn it a lot to get the cleaner to come out, and at first I thought it was empty for the amount that I turned with nothing coming out. It is easy to use though, and more gentle than using a toothbrush, so that is a nice plus. That can also be important, because some stones on certain rings and other jewelry can be small, and if agitated to roughly, I suppose you can possibly lose them and pop them out of their place. Something that you should want to avoid. With that in mind, a cleaning pen like this is a good idea, and handy to have around.

Nice shine in under a minute
I never clean my jewelry. Back in the day I used a cream that got stuck in the crevices of a bracelet. It wasn't worth the trouble. A friend of my has an ultrasonic cleaner. She said it works well, but I don't have room for that especially if it's something I'm only going to use once a month. But this pen? This is a game changer. It easily fits in my purse or pocket. It's simple - uncap one side (with brush), dip it under water to get it moist, then twist the cap on the other end to slowly release a blue gel. I just brushed this on and it gave my ring a sudsy little bath. Because it has a soft thin brush, I was able to get into the little side crevices as well as in the cavity underneath the stone. Then just rinse off the suds. I patted my ring dry with a paper towel and rinsed the brush clean. That's it - all done. My ring has a nice shine and there's no reside. I'd definitely use this again and will gladly recommend it.

Not The Best Cleaning Format
This Precious Stone Cleaner, you take the white cap off first, wet the brush, then twist the purple bottom part until it releases some purple cleaner, which only releases a tiny bit at a time, so that you have to keep stopping to twist up more cleaner, then when your done, you need to rinse off the cleaner from the jewelry and the brush, dry it and the brush, then put the white cap back on.It works ok, but it is by no means the best jewelry cleaner, plus it's tedious and more time consuming to clean your jewelry this way.A dip it solution, or a cleaning cloth for jewelry I think not only works better, but faster. For travel maybe this is an ok solution, but if it were me, my jewelry would already be cleaned before I left to travel.

Shine yes, clean no
I got jewelry cleaner at a state fair and have never been able to replace it. I hoped this would work similarly but it is not at all close. This is a travel sized jewelry cleaner. I have seen these type of applicators in nail oil and lip gloss applicators and it works really well. The bottom twists up and the cleaner (or oil or gloss) comes up into the bristles and is applied. The problem when this is switched to a jewelry cleaner is that the brush is so very soft. So soft that it brushes on but doesn't really do any cleaning. So you put the white liquid then rinse off. This added shine, but didn't really clean. To clean you need a cloth, which makes this applicator moot for me.Would not repurchase.

it's okay...
My only guess for this product is that it might be good for travel ease. The system itself is rather tedious and you need to be near a water source. In other words, if you are going thru all of that to clean your rings and such, to me, it's just as easy to use a wet slightly soapy toothbrush if you are on vacation...but if at home, my sonic cleaner like many others, take minutes to work and they do a really great job. This system take at least the same amount of time to follow all of the steps.I just didn't see the point in all the steps with this product only to get the same result as a toothbrush with a little soap.
