Powerful information, quick read, great ED book!!
Since my D was diagnosed last year I have read so much. This book stood out as a concise and powerful guide to refeeding our daughter using Family Based Treatment. My book resistant husband agreed to read it and it helped him find his footing to begin fully participating in refeeding with much more confidence. Refeeding your child during anorexia may be the hardest thing you will ever do and this book is a must read. I am a licensed clinical social worker and I will recommend this book to anyone who has a loved one with an eating disorder where refeeding is needed.

I'm a therapist specializing in eating disorders. This book is a great primer for parents on the FBT approach in which parents take an active role in supporting their child. I like this book because it is short and easy to read. Parents starting the FBT journey are usually scared and overwhelmed - this is like the Cliffs Notes to understand the basics. Once you get your footing, you might look into some of the other books, like Eva Musby's, which give more detailed and practical tips.

Good tips but very short
This book is very short. It has some good tips but there are much better books out there. Try Skills-based caring or Give food a chance or Help your teenager beat an eating disorder.

At last something short, direct, and encouraging and real. Thank you so much
This is what I have been looking for the last six months, something I can also give to extended family to give them an idea of what's going on, and what we are going to do to treat it.
