A Classic Work of Greek Philosophy
"Let us begin our discussion, " is how Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics ends. The last statement says so much about Aristotle and his philosophic works. For one, that he had an endless pursuit of knowledge and two, it is a sad fact despite the enormous amount of his surviving writings just as many were lost to follies of antiquity. There are many topics covered within. It starts and ends with the nature of happiness, talks of friendship, and puts forward the idea of making a balanced decision when making a moral/ ethical decision. For the most part it puts forward ideas on how to be a successful and moral human being. On the Writing/ TranslationAs with all ancient texts the ability to understand it depends upon the translation. Harris Rackham's translation is good but suffers from the over abundance and unnecessary uses of large or overly complex words where a simpler form would have been better. Also some of the sentence structure is clunky and takes reading twice to understand what was meant. Otherwise it is readable and no more difficult than any other Ancient Greek philosophic text.I would recommend this book to anyone that has any cursory interest in ethics or philosophy. Some of the ideas have been updated in modern philosophical thinking, but are still relevant and will leave you seeking out other Aristotelian works.

Print too Small to Read
I am disappointed. The print is so tiny I can not read it without a magnifying glass. I looked forward to reading it, but alas, can not. If it was worth it, I would return it, but the cost of returning would come cost to the price of the book. What good is this?

Awesome!
What a different world we would live in if more people read this at a 'formative' age - and even beyond!
