My chair is of good height and I'm 5'10 tall and its perfect for me and it can go higher than i need. I bought this as I damaged the old one when I attempted to dismantle my chair. Dismantling the chair to fit it was very difficult and the only way I could do it was with a hammer and a Pipe Wrench, i dont think another type of wrench would have done it. Once dismantling this was very easy to install its pretty much universal as it all slots in and does the job perfectly. I've only just got it but so far so good.

I have a chair that was going to cost over £100 to replace, when I found out that the canister can be replaced for less than £15. The cylinder was very easy to install. Use a pipe wrench to loosen the old cylinder under the seat, and a rubber mallet (or hammer on a block of waste wood as I did) to release it from the base. The simply put one end of the canister into the seat, and the other into the base. Done!

Hopefully this product will remain out of stock. Faulty within weeks of use, oil leaks past seal and slowly sinks. So bad now it is unusable hence a late review and and now the need to replace with a more reliable alternative.

Big saving on buying a new chair, needed a few hard taps with a hammer and a twist with a pipe grip to remove old one. New one just dropped in and works very well 👌

It's a cheaper option than buying a new gaming chair, not to hard to fit.

As easy to fit as any other gas lift, and perfectly comfortable at first.However, 2 weeks later, it is failing to maintain any pressure at all, and the piston can be moved in or out by hand with almost no effort.Absolute rubbish.

A small price to pay to avoid buying a new chair. Relatively straightforward to replace although removing the faulty gas strut required a mallet and some brute force.

Saved me a fortune as didn’t need to buy a new chair. Hubby fitted it quickly and easily.
