Great background and history
I have over time acquired the set. All of these imagineering guides had been highly recommended by others in the past. They are filled with history of why things happened and were done a certain way, as well as what might have been but didn't happen, and why. If you are truly into the Disney parks like I am, these are a great addition to your Disney book collection. Get them all.Of course, with the constant change in the Disney parks, these cannot be constantly kept absolutely up to date. But the major attractions, and the history of the basis and basics of each park don't change.

A bit of a letdown
After thoroughly enjoying the previous Imagineering Field Guides for Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom, I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of the guide for Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, this book does not even come close to the quality of the other three. The details are drab. Frequently, it even seems like some of the pages are out of order. The topic will move on to another scene, then suddenly have a comment about the previous scene out of the blue and out of context. The small amount of information the book does provide is good, just presented poorly. I'm not sure I can recommend paying full price. If you enjoyed the other guides, you will definitely be disappointed in this. If you haven't read any others, then you will like learning some of the details behind the development of my favorite Disney park.

a visual delight of Imaginereing
The information about imagineering was enhanced by the wonderful pictures. It brings the skills of Disney to light.

GREAT TRIVIA about the PARK!
LOVE this book (and the Imagineering Field Guides to the other Disney Parks as well)! It isn't huge, but has tons of fun facts about the little-noticed details the Disney Imagineers put into the design and decoration of their rides and parks. Details even about little signs (like the "for rent" sign in one window) you will see placed in the facades of the buildings along Hollywood Avenue!

The Imagineering Field Guide to Disney's Hollywood Studios
I have always been a fan of the Disney parks in Orlando. I love reading stories and books about them - about the behind-the-scenes stuff. Previous to this book, I have reading the Imagineering Field Guides to the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom. I couldn't wait to read this Field Guide as well. Very informative and an interesting read.

It's the little things
It's the little things, the little details, that make this series of books special. So many overlooked details are revealed here, you'll want to spend a whole day in DHS looking up, down and around. If you're not at the parks, its a great bedtime reader to put you in the dreamstate of being there.

Great little books
This is an great little book which gives some interesting insider info. There are some fun things to look out for which is good for people with older kids and who have visited the parks before. The books are very compact too so they will fit in your hand luggage and are ideal for browsing during the flight.

Good Idea...
... to make a theme park guide from the view of the people who created the park. I will surely buy the other books from this series, this one has a lot of insights and behind-the-scenes stuff - and: It has a lot of concept drawing for the parks which i didn't see before. Because the size of the book is standard trave guide format these wonderful pictures appear quite small, would have loved to see them bigger...
