I purchased these refills to replace the oem wipers on a 2010 Subaru Impreza. When I was researching options for replacements, I read in other reviews that people had to re-use the metal strips from their original wipers because the new ones didn't fit. I will confirm that these refills will fit the oem wiper assemply on the 08-11 Impreza's and 08-14 WRX/STi's without any modification. I've had these installed for a few weeks and so far they're working great; no chattering or streaking. I highly recommend buying these refills if you're wiper assemblies are still in tact. Reduces waste from working wipers being discarded and potentially cheaper than buying a brand new wiper assembly.

I love this silicone wiper blade insert. I no longer need to apply Rain-X. It works so great that I rarely use my wipers except to refresh the beading effect or in heavy rains. I've had it for many years, because when there's ice frozen on it or ice frozen to the windshield, I don't pull it or turn it on. If there's freezing rain coming, I lift the blade arm away from the windshield. I scrape ice clear from the windshield where the blade will move. On a brand new vehicle, I'd put on a pair without even waiting for the OEM ones to go bad.

I have the PIAA wipers installed on both cars at home. I decided to try the refill blade to save money and produce less waste when it was time to change the wipers. The instructions were on the back, it was easy to remove the old blade and insert the new one. It get a little tricky when you get near the end when the tab needs to insert in a cavity on the refill blade but, everyone should be able to install it at home.

I love Piaa wipers. I've been using them on my cars for almost 20 years. They work much better and last a lot longer than typical wipers.

For my 2013 Mazda3 i Touring Hatchback: The 19" (passenger) PIAA refill which is 6mm wide fit fine. The 14" (rear window) PIAA refill which is 6mm wide fit fine although it was tricky getting the refill into the existing blade because of the stops at both ends of the blade to prevent the blade from sliding out. The 24" (driver) PIAA refill which is 8mm wide did not fit as the claws on existing blade were 6mm wide. I'm not sure which if any blades are original. I ended up getting a 24" Rain-X Expert Fit Conventional blade for $8.50 at Wal**** which is 8mm wide and the PIAA 24" refill fit great although it is 1/2" shorter. I don't know the width of the other length Rain-X Expert Fit Conventional blades so you'll want to check. I took a caliper to Wal**** so I could find the right blade to accept the PIAA refill. My advice: Measure your existing blades to determine whether they are 6mm or 8mm wide. Think about which refills will fit if at all considering the 24" and longer refills are 8mm wide while those shorter than 24" are 6mm. You might need to get a new blade whose width fits the PIAA refill width for the length you need. Consider cutting a longer refill to fit and possibly use the metal strips from your old blade in the new refill so you don't have to cut the metal strips.
