I want to hang this under a loft bed. The space under the bed is about 4 feet. The width is 5 feet. Will this hammock fit?

The Owlet hammock is 6ft long by 3 1/2 ft wide. so you would have a foot of sag and it should work on the width since it's 5 feet width.

What is the smallest you can make it? I'd like to put it inside of a crib, but don't know all the dimensions.

Any hammocks, even those sold for babies, are unsafe for infants. They have too steep of an incline. They make baby's chin tuck down too far that it can close off airway, similar to why the rock a tots were recalled for infant death.
