CetaphilRestoraderm Pro, Eczema Calming Body Wash, 10 Ounce (Packaging May Vary)

I originally bought this item for myself, after being diagnosed with keratosis pilaris by my dermatologist. It wasn't so bad that I needed to get it treated, after all, I've been living with it for all my life. However after asking my dermatologist about it, she recommended that I try this body wash in conjunction with a Cerave Cerave Sa Renewing Skin Lotion, 8 Ounce.Using both, over months, my skin cleared up and became less bumpy. However, using both items daily just for a mild condition that I didn't think was serious became somewhat expensive. So I stopped using them both and the leftover bottle of Cetaphil body wash just sat there.That is until my infant daughter's skin started to become really dry. The worst area of dryness was her face and her cheeks started to have a "cracking" look with redness. We've tried Aquaphor, J&J baby lotion, and even coconut oil on her cheeks, but nothing helped. The only thing my wife and I could think of was that perhaps the Johnson's Baby Head-to-Toe Wash, 28 Ounce we've been using when giving our daughter a bath was the reason her skin was drying out.Then she said she was going to try the Cetaphil Restoraderm. She read on the back of the bottle that it was safe for babies 3 months and older and it was awarded the seal of acceptance by the National Eczema Association. After using it for about a week, my daughter's cheeks are no longer red and they are now smooth!!!I guess we never realized that she had eczema, which our pediatrician said was common with babies, since they have delicate/sensitive skin. My son who is 5 has celiac disease and he has VERY sensitive, dry skin and scalp. He has eczema like rashes pretty much head to toe, plus his feet like to peel. We have tried everything from prescription drugs to other OTC remedies, all kinds of special soaps & shampoos to oils. After his last outbreak that lasted 2 weeks I thought there has to be something that will work on his scalp and his skin that won't break the bank and not be loaded full of stuff that I'm not comfortable putting on him. Our allergist recommended we try this. His poor scalp was just scales of dry, itchy skin, his toes looked awful, and skin was severely dry even though I was applying Vaseline three times a day plus his prescription cream.After the fist bath with this I could tell a difference before I even put on ANY lotion. I could see his actual scalp (we washed his hair with it as a shampoo), he wasn't itching, his skin felt smoother and soft! He hasn't had soft little kid skin since he was 3 months old! I was floored. I was so happy for him I wanted to cry. His hair was soft too! His hair before was course, and rough even though we put oil on his scalp and tresses twice a week. I'm so glad we bought it. It's worth every penny. It lathers well, it's unscented, and washes well. He had strawberry icing in his hair and it removed it all. He's had multiple baths with this and every time we've had the same result unlike with other products we've used in the past. I'm one happy mom. If your kiddo or you has any skin or scalp issues try it!

I ordered two bottles of this. One for my mom's birthday, and one for me to try for myself. It lathers like bar soap, but I didn't mind that. I saw a dramatic improvement in the eczema on my arm the next morning, which I am positively thrilled about. My only problem is that, based on other reviews here, I expected there to be no difference between eczema with broken skin, or just the rash. I have several blotches of eczema on my legs, which have open sores from scratching and a very jumpy dog. While I do acknowledge the dog is part of the problem with curing my legs, and that the blotches that haven't opened up to look like nasty mosquito bites are healing nicely, I was a little disappointed to see that the worst of the problem on my legs doesn't seem to be responding as well as the many times larger rash on my arm. Still, this is very helpful and very soothing, and I have been able to use it on my dried out face with no problem, so I would definitely reccommend it as well as get more for myself.As far as delivery was concerned, it took longer than, and yet not as long as I expected. I was told shortly after placing my order that the product was out of stock, and I could change my order, cancel it altogether, or give permission to have it on backorder til it could be filled. I was surprised and pleased with this, because usually my orders from anywhere get cancelled if they are out of stock. It arrived a week later, when I was prepared to have it the following Wednesday after that, due to the need of restocking the bodywash. The store kept me informed, answered my questions, and politely apologized for the delay.
