Outward Hound Dublin Dog KOA Dog Collar Ocean

We have two hunting dogs that love the water and the woods. I bought this collar to replace one we had that had a rivet break. They are super durable, 100% washable and sanitizable, and have nice patterns/colors. They dont get dirty or stinky like a traditional braided collar.

I’m happy with the collar overall. Cool look, nice waterproof material, awesome that it doesn’t get all smelly! BUT, I only purchased it 2 months ago and the plastic is already peeling off on the end - see picture. My only other qualm with the collar.. I bought a larger size for my mastiff puppy to grow into so there is obviously a lot of extra collar material that sticks out. The little tab that is supposed to hold the extra material tight to the collar was useless. Slid off immediately so there’s just this 5” of the collar flopping around since nothing is holding down! I’ve had to tape the extra collar material down which is ugly but until she grows into it, that was my solution.

Got this for my Aussie. Pleased with the overall quality. I do wish it came in a 3/4 inch width for the medium size as it is pretty wide for my dog but knew that to start with so not complaining. My young dog does quite a bit of wrestling with another pup so there is a lot of collar grabbing and haven't had any issues. Nice to have a collar that doesn't get all slobbery from other dogs and is easy to clean. I don't use it for walking him very often so can't tell if it would hold up for lots of pulling.

I’m a professional dog trainer and in my experience, these Dublin Dog Collars are absolutely the best!! Each one I’ve purchased has lasted years without ever stinking or causing irritation. They are completely water proof and withstand daily hiking adventures without any wear. My only complaint is that sizing can be tricky- my dog is wearing the Large size because the Medium is too small even on the biggest setting, but even on the second or third hole of the Large there was nearly 4” of excess collar that I had to cut off. However, since this is my third Dublin Dog Collar in almost 6yrs, I refuse to reduce the rating. I wasn’t able to get other collars to last a couple months without wearing out, stinking up or irritating my dog’s skin. Love it!!

This product is very durable and is perfect for dogs that spend a lot of time outside and like to swim and get muddy. It's really easy to clean and keep clean and is comfortable for my dog to wear around the clock. The patter is really pretty and looks exactly like Mahi! I would have given it 5 stars but for the colors are a little more dull than pictured. I thought the yellow was going to bright and pretty like the fish, but I still would get this collar again. My dog, Roo, is a 70 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Her neck is about 22" and the size L/XL fits her well.

Best collar! My lab spends most of his days outside in water and muck and he has had this collar for almost a year. No stink and no signs of wear and tear.

We have 2 dogs that love swimming in the ocean, so these are great! No stink - plus look super nice on. We have bought 5 or 6 so far over the last 7 years and there is just one flaw: rivets are made from a corrosive metal - aluminum? Not sure, but they don't last. We live in Hawaii, so things tend to dissolve here quicker, so may not be an issue in other parts of the country. We just got an industrial sewing machine, so we were able to fix the last one, but it is a design flaw. Why not just use stainless steel? Amazon has the best price - we have bought from other places in the past.

I love these collars , have used them for years, long lasting , good looking, always gets completed on by my fellow dog walkers.I'm lucky enough to live in the Welsh mountains and every walk my dogs manage to find ample mud and water , and the fact that these collar easily wash clean and don't become smelly is worth their weight in gold

I have 3 dogs and my mum has 3 we have used Dublin Dog collars for years and love them. All our collars are still going strong and I cannot recommend these enough. I bought the pheasant collar for my pointer as I love the design. I am disappointed in this product as I bought it in January and the metal part has fallen apart. This started to happen in September and now the collar is not usable. I do not know how to contact the company.

It’s a good waterproof collar, much lighter than their previous ones. However the sizing is out, needed a little alteration but otherwise fine:)

This is the third Dublin dog collar we’ve owned. They must have changed their manufacturing because the new quality is terrible. We had to have the buckle re-riveted by a cobbler after 9 months and the coating over the fabric has completely delaminated while our other 2 collars for our bigger dog remain intact and serviceable. We’ve tried to contact Dublin Dog ( seems they don’t exist ) and Outward Hound for replacement but with no luck. We’ve thrown it away and moved on to something we hope is better quality.

We’ve only had this collar for a short period of time and it looks so bad all the reflective is wearing off. Still seems to hold smell we find. Do not recommend this collar cheaply made.
