TRESemmé Thermal Creations Heat Protectant Spray for Hair 8 oz

Great thermal protection spray! I purchased this as an add on to use with my John Frieda Salon Shape 1.5 Inch Hot Air Brush (that I love!) I am not expert in the areas of thermal protection sprays - I never used a flat iron - I pretty much gave up hope after the 80's ended. I will admit that I am not a fan of the TRESemme hair sprays because the boyfriend uses those & I hate the smell of those. I was very pleasantly surprised with the smell of this TRESemme product! It's very nice! It worked like a charm too. I use it when my hair is 80 percent dry before using my hot air brush, and I also use it for when I blow dry my hair "dry" (second or third day / no shampoo days) to protect it from the heat on my dry hair. Again, works like a charm! My hair is well protected from using heat & it is a great styling aid. I've used it to "fix" areas that I messed up along the way by spraying over again lightly. One reviewer said it isn't necessary to spend a lot of money on products like this. I wouldn't know from past experience but I certainly don't plan on it. I can see why it is so highly rated! It works great!

I wanted to address the issue of buyers having problems with the bottle. I don't know if it's the solution or not but those two black buttons on each side of the sprayer must be there for a reason; push one to open and push to close. I pushed on one which opened the container. I suppose for travel if you push again it will lock in place. I hope this is the answer you're looking for and that you find it helpful.

I bought a bottle of this heat tamer protective spray about a month ago and I loved it! The price is hard to beat at $8- with free shipping. It shipped fast and the bottle is a good size. I use this spray on my hair before every blow dry or hair straightening I do, whether my hair is wet or dry, and it always leaves it feeling so silky and light afterwards, it feels like I just paid to get a deep condition! I have long, very thick wavy hair. It has been bleached a lighter blonde than my natural color and I've been known to have pretty dry and split ends. I recently got my ends trimmed and I can proudly say that this product has kept me completely split end free since. The only complaint I do have is that the bottle is a little awkward to hold and try to squeeze and spray, but the pros definitely out way that one con. I would definitely recommend this spray! I'm going to keep buying it after my current bottle runs out.

So I was trying to figure out how to do my hair as a guy and I quickly realized I would probably need to blow dry my hair and looking further I found out I would need a heat protectant and I came across this one and it is amazing.I’ve tried blow-drying my hair without a heat protectant before and the difference is night and day. Without a heat protectant my hair is frizzy and fried but when I use a heat protectant it feels like it hasn’t even been blow-dried (besides the volume increase). This is a great heat protectant because it is light, it doesn’t make your hair oily, and it’s cheap (I bought my first bottle from amazon but I found out you can find this product for like $3-4 at Walmart so I got my second bottle from there).Overall this is an awesome heat protectant to get if you need on and if you don’t currently use a heat protectant I hugely recommend one.

The media could not be loaded. I like the fine mist. The smell is light and clean. I feel it protects my hair from the heat of blow drying it and curling it. It does the job.

I bought this because I blow dry my hair every day and finally bought into the whole "heat sprays are awesome" thing, mainly because I figured that at the worst it'll slightly hedge my risk of going bald by age 35. So here we are a while later, and I don't know if it's placebo effect or what, but I love this stuff! It's got an interesting smell - you'll like it if you like the smell of the hairdresser's salon. At least it's not fruity or flowery or musky, thank God. I also feel like it does help keep my hair smooth after blowdrying (I also pop on a shine spray.) Unfortunately, it's hard for me (as a nonscientist) to verify the claim of heat protection without analyzing my individual hair strands at a molecular level, but...Anyway, it's a good product. Give it a try.

I have used a few heat protectants and because of all the positive reviews I chose to give this one a shot. Having high expectations I was surprised at how water based this is. Despite what the instructions on the bottle say, this can’t be use directly with heat styling tools. You will have to spray and wait for it to dry or blow dry your hair. I do not blow dry so I’ve been spraying it on after I wash and letting it dry altogether. This makes this product less than ideal for touching up or adjusting with heat styling tools. For example, if you have flat-ironed your hair and want to curl the ends but have the kind of hair that curls when wet, this would not be a good option for the task at hand. Another issue I’ve had with the product is that if you do not shake the bottle before you use it it seems that the ingredients separate and you may end up spraying what seems like just water or ,on the flip side, too much product into your hair which explains why some of the negative reviews call the product watery while others claim it is too heavy.All of this being said, if you have a one step process, shake the bottle before using, and don’t over spray, the product seems to work fine as a heat protectant and it makes the hair feel “silky.”Overall I don’t think that I’ll be using this product again as I’m looking for something a bit more versatile.
