Works perfectly
It's been in use for almost 3 months now and no issues to report. The included batteries are reporting a 95% charge. No issue with cold weather so far (Montreal). The Zwave integration works flawlessly with OpenHab and I like that I get a report of all activities in real time (unlock, jammed lock, too many incorrect pins) which allows to me trigger the lights as I unlock the door in the evening.2022-08-24Almost 3 years later still working great. I had to change the batteries only once since. No problem with cold weather.

Installed quickly, works great, using Z-Wave with Hubitat Elevation hub
This Yale lock replaced a Kwikset electronic combination lock that would constantly give us trouble and jam. Ordered it this morning, delivered this evening (wow!), and it installed in about 20 minutes. It was pretty effortless compared to the Kwikset. This is the version with a Z-Wave module. It took a couple of tries to get it into connection mode, but it was quickly discovered by my Hubitat Elevation automation hub once I figured out the Yale menu option.Tested locking and unlocking with the Hubitat, then added the lock to Alexa Skill. Alexa quickly discovered the lock. I did not enable Alexa to unlock by voice, but I did enable unlock with the Alexa app. That worked great too.Next challenge will be to set up geofencing so the lock will automatically unlock when my son or I come home. There's a Hubitat app on Github called Presence Central which should assist in creating location based automations.

Integrates well with Ring alarm system
I spent tons of time doing research on the best smart lock to integrate with my Ring alarm system. Was hesitant about this lock due to some negative reviews, but it was easy to set up and is working fine. When using with Ring, make sure to purchase the "z-wave" option, and the alarm base system serves as the hub (no additional hub required). You can lock/unlock from the Ring app, though the feature is buried beneath a few options. You cannot do other things from the Ring app like set codes, unfortunately. Also, on set up I had a few issues with programming. Turns out that the pdf available online for setup looked different from the printed one that came with the lock (the printout was missing one crucial step). If you have this error, find the setup document online.Haven't yet tried setting up with the Yale App itself, though the app has horrible reviews. Finally, keep an eye on used or open box versions of this lock, much cheaper than buying new.
