My local Lowe's sells a different brand of these for $13.60. These work perfectly at a fraction of the cost.

    Has a metal ball valve

I'm replacing a 1/4 turn ball valve that is about 17 yrs old but used maybe 4 times. The stem broke and won't turn off.  Exercising these frequently may be the solution to longevity.I bought this brand (EFIELD) because of the comments, they have a metal ball.  Sure enough they have a metal ball. Unfortunately they also have a plastic handle which can be a longevity problem if you read other reviews. These valves also appear to have metal stems which is a plus. If the handle breaks you could at least get a small crescent wrench on the stem.Only time will tell if they hold up.They are made in China, couldn't find one from Lowes, Home Depot or Amazon made elsewhere.
