On first impression this is an excellent product. I was lucky enough to get a Zassenhaus pepper grinder at a heroically low price via Amazon Warehouse, and the same outlet had this salt grinder for around ten British pounds, which is not a bad deal. Using coarse sea salt and the dial set to mid point the result was a good, strong grinding operation (if you'll pardon the expression) that really bit into the crystals; and output of consistent size. I suspect that the performance ultimately depends on the quality and coarseness of the (sea) salt you put into it. The only minor niggle is that the beech finish looks a little like MDF ... but you cannot fault the rest of it.

Very well made, not cheap but you get what you pay for, other mills give up the ghost after a few months,, this one is made to last, I think a salt mill is a difficult thing to make well, but this company managed it, The wood is also well finished and attractive
