Unit arrived later than advertised, the original delivery notification saying it would be delivered next day.On following day, delivery update said on way delivery before 10pm. So I waited in patiently only to be told in the afternoon that it was delayed & now expected delivery was 2-3 days. Did finally arrive the next day, why say delivery next-day & update to say on way only to then say it's going to be 2-3 days. I could have gone out on Saturday rather than wait in for a last minute no show. Very frustrating.The instructions are not in English, but it's straight forward to assemble. I would have preferred some guidance notes about preheating the crucible as this was my first time using a furnace like this since school. Have watched a number of YouTubers, thanks YouTube.The safety gloves coating is plastic & so melted, fortunately I have fireman's safety gloves so was able to continue to melt aluminium into moulds. The furnace though smaller than expected did work surprisingly well & I was able to complete 12 pours in the course of one afternoon/early evening. I found that if I shut gas off whilst removing crucible to pour, once returned to the furnace switching gas back on it would relight without secondary source of ignition, handy feature to know.The tongs were much better than I was expecting, so they were a plus.The glasses seemed cheap & cheerful, so I opted to use a full face shield I already had.Do remember to clean out the crucible at the end whilst residue is still soft,Don't thermally shock the crucible, I've left my crucible to cool down naturally.Do not drop it.Do work in well ventilated space, preferably outside.Overall not a bad introductory kit to the black art of metal foundry, as I say this was my first outing.I have a crate of Brass & another of copper to try next time around.Update 10-JUL-2021Having now used this twice & been extremely impressed with the results I have reviewed my initial 3* to 5*'s as I have mostly forgotten it was late arriving. This is a very good little furnace & crucible for small scale home use.Would I buy again, NO. I would buy a larger furnace next time, but that is no reflection on this product. As I said before this is a great introductory entry level home furnace KIT (basically everything you need bar the gas to get started right out of the box.

I have used the forge and everything that comes with it a lot these last few days. The first thing you noticed when you receive it is that it comes in a great bag and everything is great quality.The forge is after it's first use changes color slightly due to the heat but it seems to be working fine.The crucible starts to crack on the inside but after it has been heated up a few time you can expect minor damages.The tools work great but you might need to re glue the grips back onto them, as the started getting a little loose.The casts work great and so do the protective gloves.The only thing I am a little annoyed about it the fire protective plate which sites at the forge randomly broke into multiple pieces. I am not sure if you can buy replacements at the moment but apart from that this is a great product.I noticed when I first set it up that you may have problems with the air to propane ratio. This takes a little while to figure out how far in the nozzle needs to be to stop what sounds like backfiring to happen.

Only used once but once set up worked well. Great bit of kit.

Love it. Lighting the burner is a task but I’ll get used to that. All the items supplied went together well and the crucible is a nice size for what I want to achieve. When the burner is on it certainly gets hot and I quickly moved on from aluminium to copper and then brass. All achieved with no major issues. 👍

The media could not be loaded. It melts stuff. That’s what I wanted it to do. So far I’ve melted som copper and some aluminium. The next step is to cast something..it should last well as it’s well built and comes with a decent size crucible. The gloves do the job, you have lifting tongs and also pouring tongs.Can’t fault it really. Don’t use indoors though unless it’s a big indoors with a high roof. Unlike my garage that has a wooden roof.
