Worth every penny
I bought this machine to replace a 5 year old Asus laptop that I was really impressed with. This put my expectation bar on the low side, but then I looked at the price tag and my expectations went much higher. On the old machine, I had to run all my games at 1080p, and low to medium quality settings. This produced 20-30hz framerates on just about everything. When I bought Cyberpunk 2077, I had to run it on the absolute lowest quality settings, and it was in the 10hz frame rate range.I decided it was time to upgrade. The GE66 is monumentally better. I run Cyberpunk on the highest settings, and average 60fps. Every other game I run on ultra and get 60-120fps consistently. The CPU, RAM, Storage, and GPU seem to be well integrated so they work together well and are more than the sum of their parts. My only gripe is the audio. Theres some 3D sound driver crap that causes the sound to jump around in volume regardless of what I do to try to disable it. Sound will be perfect, then I'll turn or sidestep or move and the sound will drop in volume out of one or both speakers, and be barely audible for a few minutes, then suddenly be too loud... It jumps around like this every few minutes. Very annoying. In summary, it's definitely the best, most powerful, capable and awesome laptop I've ever used or heard of. It runs modern games at high framerate without any issue, looks spectacular, and sounds great, when the sound works, which is sometimes.

A premium gaming laptop that delivers
If you're considering this laptop, you likely know what you're looking for. There is a lot to love about this machine, and after putting it through its paces, I'm very satisfied with the purchase.Pros: Build quality is excellent, as I usually find to be the case with MSI machines. Plenty of I/O, a killer GPU, and top-notch benchmarks make this a great laptop and conceivably a potential desktop replacement. Thermals are a stand-out - running high-end games at ultra, I the GPU averages about 57 degrees, and has never topped 76 degrees even at heavy load. Upgrading is a snap - I filled the extra M.2 slot with a 2TB SSD, and it took maybe 10 minutes total. Obviously this thing is going to run anything you throw at it; admittedly mine has mostly been on easy mode running Valheim, but I ran Cyberpunk 2077 on it just to see what it could do, and it barely broke a sweat.Cons: If Intel is a deal-breaker for you, you likely didn't even read this far. HD instead of QHD is a sacrifice, but the monitor is definitely nice, though I just can't fathom what use 300Hz would ever serve. It definitely looks like a gaming laptop - if you want to go a bit more covert with your gaming, the MSI Stealth series is probably more your speed.Pros definitely outweigh the cons for me, and this laptop is everything I expected.

Made to last just after warranty expires
Bought 2 of these, I Was really impressed with the fast product delivery, The design of the laptop is much better than anticipated, it has slight elevation at the bottom allowing the fans to be able to cool of the device properly. Keyboard also surprised me giving it a more mechanical feeling. Overall I'm really impressed and would recommend it to anyone in the market for the 3080 laptopsEdit : a Week before my warranty was set to expire the ethernet port stops working mid game ,sent in to msi for a RMA and got lied to by their tech support after receiving an email saying everything is working fine and they would like to know how they can try and replicate the problem which they say they have fixed by just putting in another ssd with their standard operating system (after i already informed them that i tried all of tech supports advice of resetting the adapter and eventually reinstalling windows which also didnt work) ,after replying them and waiting 2 days i try and track the progress where i am unable to track my RMA and was told to phone MSI directly as there is a special request on the system and they can't log me in due to that . So i phone MSI and give my RMA number and the operator informs me that the special request is that they have ordered parts and they will only update after the laptop has been fixed which according to them was never broken. I wont recommend MSI again after being lied to and with the terrible lack of communication their support has

Is it worth it?
If you're looking for a beefy, thick, gaming laptop, then this it. The build is very nice as it is a beautiful blend of both metal and plastic. It does not feel cheap. It runs games beautifully as this has the RTX 3080 16GB variant graphics card.Battery is as expected in most gaming laptops. This laptop does get hot but with a riser, this laptop can vent the heat fine with its high RPM fans. The screen is beautiful and the RGB is stunning.MSI nails it with another gaming laptop.

Probably overkill for what I need, but...
This laptop is a perfect for creatives who game on the side.Pros:It's a gaming rig at heart, so it's loaded (high tier GPU, useless RGB lighting and 300 hz refresh). But it is more than capable handling RAM hungry digital art/media programs.Cons:This is essentially a mobile desktop, so the battery life isn't great (4 hours -maybe- with balanced settings), and it is thicker and heavier than other offerings.Final Verdict:Expensive, heavy and thick... but leaves no doubt in its capabilities.

A solid, powerful, and amazing gaming laptop. Will update after one month use
Pros:-Great CPU-Awesome 16GB GPU-3200mHz 32GB Ram-Fast 1TB SSD-WiFi 6e-Thin and lightweight (for a gaming laptop with this performance)-RGB keyboard and LED bar-Usable webcamCons:(personal opinion)-1080p 300Hz screen is good. But I'd like a 2K 165Hz/144Hz screen.-Touchpad is very hard to use.-Fans are loud.-AC adaptor is heavy but acceptable.-Keyboard is little bit soft, and I'd like to have a keyboard with the Numpad.-A little bit pricey.Overall, highly recommend.
