Powerful Desktop Replacement Gaming Laptop
Was looking to upgrade the 1660 in my gaming desktop to a new 3000 series nvidia card...lack of availability plus the fact that I travel for work and hated not being able to PC game in a hotel led me to look at the new line of 3000 series gaming laptops. After a lot of research and comparisons I chose to go with the 15" GE66 Raider.Short story, this is a great gaming laptop that provides a lot of power in a portable package. What I like:Expandability - 32gigs of ram in 2 slots, no soldered ram, able to upgrade to 64 gb if needed though 32gb is PLENTY big for now. 2 NVME drive slots, came with 1TB and loved that I was able to take the 1TB drive from my desktop and double my storage space.Screen quality - great color, great contrast ratio, and sharp with the 300hz refresh rate.Power - The processor and gpu combo are a powerhouse and able to run games on a high or ultra settings at 60 fps or above. Check out reviews online and see the framerates for yourself on modern games and older games (like Overwatch which will push over 200fps). I use this laptop, primarily, as a desktop replacement and I love it. I have it connected to an external 3440x1440p monitor (21:9 ratio) and it drives the games I'm currently playing (Elite Dangerous, WoW) at a maximum 100fps as it's a 100hz external monitor. As a laptop, it also functions as a second monitor for me to multitask while gaming. I've already traveled with it and it did not disappoint. The ability to play after work at the hotel was great and really helped me unwind and not be stuck watching TV all night.Things to consider:It's not small - It fits in my backpack designed for a 15" macbook pro but it's a tight fit. Then there's a 230 watt powerbrick...it's also big. There ARE slimmer options but be warned...not all 3070s are built the same. This is a 130watt version, some of the slimmer laptops only run their 3070s at 80-85 watts. You will not get the same performance. The "bulk" of this laptop allows it to have the thermals needed to run a 3070 at the higher wattage, giving much better performance. Make sure you know what you're buying. I am comfortable trading off a little bit of extra bag space for the superior performance.Fan noise - it can get loud. Just be aware, and all gaming laptops do this. It's not as quiet as a liquid cooled desktop, it needs to stay cool. When not gaming, you're likely not to notice the fan noise, the thermals are such that it runs pretty silent. When gaming, however, it gets hot and it needs those fans to kick in.Nice Bonus:RGB Keyboard - I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do but it's a fun feature that really let's you personalize the look of your laptop.

Blazing Fast Speeds with a Sleek Build!
Right out of the box is a beautiful piece of machine, Im really impressed with the build quality of this computer, it's amazing speed and even though it kinda looks bulky, its really light. and the Fan noise that seems to be a concern for some its not that noticeable to be honest for such a powerful laptop. A++++++++++

Godlike Performance
Previously having the 2070 super edition of this product I can safely say this product delivers a promising boost in power of at least 20%. A HUGE upgrade considering switching from 2070 to a 2070 super only provides a 5% boost. Now there are a multitude of features that one should know before buying any gaming laptop. Luckily MSI is very reliable when it comes to providing information however some things are a bit harder to find out without actually having the laptop.-This Laptop includes a Mux switch, it can be found in the dragon center in order to switch from a hybrid that lets you conserve battery but hinders performance and reduces fps. This essential information as some laptops may not include this which hinders the full power of the 3070.-The TDP of this laptop is 115 watts and boosts up to 130w. The full power of the 3070 is also being utilized which is great since lighter and thinner laptops will only use 80W on their 3070 laptops. The reduction of wattage correlates with a reduction of performance. So if you're looking to find a laptop with a strong 3070 always try to find the TDP.-Cooling is an important feature when it comes to gaming laptops as they are notorious for getting hot. Luckily while using extreme performance mode on the fans, the GE66 Raider manages to keep the GPU at comfortable 74 degrees and CPU 85 Degrees while playing intense titles such as Cyberpunk or Cold War. These would be the ideal temperatures for your CPU and GPU anything higher becomes a bit uncomfortable and concerning. Mind you the GE66 comes with a feature known as a cooler boost which can be turned on with a button on the keyboard. This mode ramps up the fans to their max speed and cools the computer even better than extreme performance mode.-If your like me who likes to connect tons of peripherals to your laptop your in luck because the GE66 comes with a vast variety of ports. They're listed on the website but my usual setup includes, an external mouse, keyboard, cooling pad, and dual monitors.-The battery life is definitely average compared to other gaming laptops however when you think about how power fits into this machine it's a fair trade.-Lastly, the build quality compared to the 2070 generation has definitely improved, while my previous GE66 had a display that was bending a bit too much and uneven hinges, this generation has given me a perfect laptop. No bending no uneven hinges everything was up to standard.Hence, I highly recommend this laptop for anyone looking for a portable and powerful laptop. One that spares no expense when it comes to using the full power of a 3070 mobile GPU.

Great laptop
Laptop lives up to its specsMinor issues: stickers - too many stickers to removeNoise: super loud when fans are ramped upMSI software: disable gaming mode - it just turns the fans to max whenever you start playing games, which is not necessary for most games that aren't taxing on the laptopI turned on silent mode to keep the laptop as quiet as possible and got a cooling pad which gives height to the laptop (more air underneath) and 1 large fan so it can move cool air into the laptop with low noise, which is great

solid product
Satisfied with quality of product, well constructed and specs are pretty solid. Only disappointment would be that it runs a little hot. The keyboard also feels a little cheaply made for the price.
