Mind blown. I thought I was gonna have to buy a new iron. I had spent like hours trying to scrape off this residue with a steel wool and whatever abrasive stuff, including straight up *scraping* it off with a knife (hence the scratches on my iron in pic). Read about this online, did not expect it to work very well, but wow. 30 seconds, the gunk comes right off. Pic shows before on one side and after. Amazing product, completely surpassed all expectations.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is amazing! I bought an iron at the thrift store in hope that I could clean it up. The 1st picture is half way cleaned. The second photo is when I finished. It did take about 1.5 of the tubes, but I now have a clean really nice iron.

Product worked well. Directions did not say Hot Iron.That was listed in Tips for Best Results. My tip (not listed) place something under your cotton cloth to keep seepage from ruining your ironing board cover.

This stuff works wonders on cleaning the sole plate on your iron.

This product works like magic. So many of my clothes were damaged due to the residue on the iron but this product cleaned the iron and made it like new.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This iron cleaner worked very well on two irons with black crud on them. One had quite a large area of black crud. The product is quick and easy to use. I’ve used one of the irons since cleaning and it didn’t leave any marks or residue on the items I ironed.

I really takes the build up off your iron. The smell is not offensive and it's easy to use. Just make sure you use several layers of paper towels otherwise it might soak through onto the ironing board cover.
