Never Never

I don't want to sound creepy but I don't want to spoil any of you so I try to be explanatiory vague with this review.Silas and Charlie both "wake" up at the same time with no recollection of their memories about the people in their life at all. They don't know anyone, not even each other. The whole book plays in about two days time while they are trying to figure it out what happened with them without any actual help. They don't dare to tell about themselves to anyone so they keep pretend. “You're a rich kid who's a dick to your housekeeper. I'm a mean teenager with absolutely no personality who takes selfies to make herself feel important.”Never Never is a total mindf*ck. You don't know what is happening, not even when it is happening. The whole book is actually one big mystery. I mean, think about it: you lose your memory of everyone you know, even yourself. You don't know who you are, you don't know who are your parents, family, friends, nobody, yet you have to act like you do, if you don't want them to think you went crazy or are insane. "None of this makes sense. How can we remember celebrities? People we've never met? How do I know that Kanye West married a Kardashian? How do I know that Robin Williams died?"Charlie and Silas have been lovers for four years. Now they don't even remember the other. They forgot all their happy moments, all the big events and heartbreaks. This could actually be a good restart for them, if only they weren't strangers. “…she’s the girl I supposedly make love to. The girl I’ve apparently made love to for a while. The girl I apparently still love. I just wish I could remember…”Never Never is told in both Charlie and Silas' point of view, so it's easier to get to know both of them and connect to them. Connecting with them is really easy, they are both very likable characters.Charlie is the storm that can only be tamed by Silas' calm.The romance between them is kind of underlying but you can still feel it in bits and pieces. They have to play lovers in front of their friends but you can't really fake emotions you are supposedly feeling without actually feeling them deep down. From the two of them, I think Silas is the one, who wants to remember how they were before losing their memories and Charlie is the one who wants to know more why and how it happened. “She loved you. I'm not even sure if I like you yet.I don't know myself very well, but I must have been extremely competitive. Because I just took that as a challenge.Took what as a challenge? You think you can make me like you again?No. I'm gonna make you fall in love with me again.”What I mostly miss in mystery books are the humour but here I had it, even if it was in small doses and mostly came from Silas, but it made me laugh here and there. The jokes were sometimes cheesy but they added to their personality perfectly. “You're talking about us like we're body invaders.You have no idea how many times a day I think about invading your body.”This book is a very captivating read that gripped me from the very first page. It kept me guessing all along and there are so many questions left unanswered that I've never read in a book before. The ending is a huge cliffhanger that will make you suffer for a long time after finishing it. “Charlie is a devastation left in the wake of a tornado.”Never Never is a fast paced, mysterious story, that will keep you looking for clues everywhere. The possibilities for the outcome are endless. You won't put this book down until you are finished with it, but it won't left you alone. If you like all the things above, then Never Never is the book for you. This was the first I've read from both Colleen and Tarryn but definitely not the last. They easily got on the list of authors I want to read everything from.

I'm a hardcore Coho fan and I've read almost every book she has published. But, I gave 3 stars to this because its soooo expensive here, and never never is a novella! The series itself is an extremely short read. I would recommend reading it on a kindle than buying the paperback, There's a new edition thats out that has all 3 in 1. Look out for that.I hope you found my review helpful.

Soeben habe ich das Buch "Never Never" von Colleen Hoover und Tarryn Fisher beendet. Eine Rezension hierzu fällt mir wirklich schwer. Den Inhalt möchte ich gar nicht vorweg nehmen, auch ich bin völlig unvorbereitet an die Geschichte gegangen und war absolut überrascht.Das Buch lässt sich nicht gut beschreiben - ist es SciFi, eher Fantasy oder doch eine Liebesgeschichte? Ich weiss es bis jetzt nicht! Es ist eine absolute Mischung, es ist nicht einzuordnen, es liest sich spannend und wirft zum Ende VIELE Fragen auf. Das blöde ist: es handelt sich um eine dreiteilige Reihe.Nach 150 Seiten bin ich jetzt frustriert, denn ich brauche den 2. und am besten auch gleich den 3. Teil um zu sehen, wie es mit Silas & Charlie weitergeht.

Esta historia, aunque corta, engancha desde la primera página hasta la última.Necesitas seguir leyendo para saber qué pasa a continuación. Hay tantas preguntas sin resolver, tanto misterio y tantos sentimientos en apenas 150 páginas que no tienes un momento para aburrirte.Deseando que salga la segunda parte.¡Me ha gustado mucho!
