Dialux Metal Polishing Compound White and Grey 4oz 1/4b

I do a little silversmithing, mostly gifts for relatives. When I needed to replace my old polishing compounds, I choose this set based on the good reviews. I wasn't disappointed! It works great. This product is much more "user friendly" than my other polishing compounds. My other polishing compounds required a N95 particulate respirator because of the irritating airborne residue that comes off the polishing buffs. I'll probably wear a paper dust mask when using this product, just as a precaution, but I didn't notice any issues. It works as advertised, and would be an asset for any jewelry artisan. For textured metal, you can sometimes get a nice finish using only the gray compound. If you are polishing a smooth flat surface (either copper or silver) and need a mirror finish, do a little research on the preliminary sanding steps. I was pleased to notice that each compound had its own separate packaging. This is important. Some vendors will sell a set of polishing compounds, all thrown together in the same container, which leads to cross-contamination between stages. For added peace of mind, I wiped down the outer box of the white compound with a clean soft cloth before opening it for the first time, just in case there were traces of the coarser gray compound.

Polish works great. Polishes up my parts very well.

These work pretty good for polishing projects. They get kind of flaky though. Haven’t experienced that with other polishing bars. They do polish well though.

Needed for a small polish job

I have some metal trim pieces that i needed to polish and Dialux is a premium product. Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend!
