Great device
The Alfa WiFi adapter has exceeded my expectations. Setup was quick, and it significantly boosted my WiFi signal, providing strong, stable connectivity across both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The range is excellent, and I’ve had no issues with dropped connections, even in challenging areas. It’s compatible with multiple operating systems, including macOS and Kali Linux, making it versatile for everyday use and network testing. If you're looking for a reliable and efficient WiFi adapter, I highly recommend the Alfa adapter!

Surprising in how well it works
I live on an acre square. My house is roughly centered. Even so, my unattached garage had dodgy WiFi. When I closed the metal garage door on the metal roofed garage I essentially Faradayed myself out of reception. Then came this WiFi antenna. It "punched" through the garage door. Additionally, I had a nice signal strength when out toward the edge of my yard (75-100 feet from the indoor router). I have not performed a distance test, so how much further away from the router could I move? Don't know. However, it blows away the internal antennas in laptops. Configuring to work was only a little fidgety. Windows was straight forward. Linux was where fidgety came in, anyone truly surprised at that? However, it only took about 10 minutes and I was up and running. For Linux, that is almost plug and play. I highly recommend this antenna.

Very powerful Wifi adapter. Best I've owned.
This WiFi adapter like all of Alfa's gear is top notch. On Windows 10 it works upnp, but full functionality required downloading the drivers from Alfa. If you also want monitor mode then you'll need an additional Npcap driver. It's a lil different for Linux boxes but the information is readily available. The range of this thing is impressive. The usb cable provided is fairly long, allowing you some flexibility in antenna placement. I also have an Intel wifi 6E ax210 pcie nic and almost always end up using this as my network adapter. It does NOT have wifi-6, but neither does Win10 so it's not an issue to me. But if that's important to you then you'll need to find an alternative. Lack of Wifi-6 support is probably the only complaint you can make. It's a very robust device that in my experience outperforms everything else in it's class. 100% reccommend this product.

Solid Performance, But Tricky Setup on Linux
The ALFA AWUS036ACH is a solid long-range WiFi adapter with great signal strength and reliable speeds. The 5dBi antennas do a great job at picking up distant networks, and in my experience, the connection is stable and fast, especially on 5GHz. If you need a high-powered adapter for everyday use, this one delivers. However, getting it to work on Linux is a challenge. The drivers can be buggy, and depending on the distro, you may need to manually install and compile the correct version. If you’re running Kali, Parrot, or Ubuntu, expect to spend some time troubleshooting. On Windows, it’s completely plug-and-play, but Linux users should be prepared for extra setup work.Overall, this adapter is worth it for the performance, but Linux compatibility holds it back from a full 5-star rating. If you’re comfortable with driver installation, it’s a great choice.

Valuable Accessory For Those Seeking Enhanced Wireless Performance
The ALFA AWUS036ACH Type-C is a high-gain wireless USB adapter that offers impressive connectivity and range, making it a valuable accessory for those seeking enhanced wireless performance. The most notable feature of the AWUS036ACH is its dual-band capability, supporting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. This allows for improved speed and reduced interference, making it suitable for a variety of online activities including streaming, gaming, and data-intensive tasks. The Type-C interface ensures a more streamlined connection process, especially for devices with USB Type-C ports. The adapter is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports as well, offering flexibility in terms of connectivity. One of the major advantages of the AWUS036ACH is its high-gain antenna. This feature provides significantly extended range and stronger signal reception compared to built-in laptop or mobile device antennas. It's especially beneficial for users in areas with weak Wi-Fi signals or for those who need to connect to distant access points. The installation process is relatively straightforward, and the included software offers various options for adjusting settings and optimizing performance. The adapter's compact size makes it portable and easy to carry, making it suitable for use on-the-go or while traveling. However, it's worth noting that achieving the maximum range might require a clear line of sight to the access point, and factors like walls and obstructions can impact performance. Additionally, the included software interface could be more intuitive for users who are less experienced with network settings. The ALFA AWUS036ACH Type-C wireless USB adapter stands out for its dual-band support, high-gain antenna, and Type-C connectivity. It's a reliable option for individuals seeking improved wireless connectivity, extended range, and a more stable connection, whether for home or on-the-go use.

this is ["NEW"]?: $60 and no "monitor mode": "[New product]", obviosly.
Enigma: manufacturer's defect or the ["NEW" design] (I was excited, initially): NO monitor and NO packet injection modes for ya.No, I don't have problem compiling drivers, or even writing firmware. Don't blame the messenger - a problem with hardware, waste of time, failed expectations. The old version (looks exactly the same!) have worked fine (2 years ago). The managed mode works, but for $60 you could buy a full fledged router, not just a tiny range extension.
