Great for Cricut weeding
I bought this specifically for weeding out vinyl on Cricut cutouts. Works great for that purpose. Backlighting the vinyl lets me see the cut outs easier so i can remove the pieces i don't need. I opted for the non-rechargeable option since i'm always working at my desk and have an outlet near by. This is great to not have to worry about it dying on me. It has small dime sized pads on the back for 'feet' so putting pressure on the pad won't break it as it doesn't have far to bend and the plastic seems durable enough for what i do.

Great light box for the price
Once again this year we were trying to figure out what to get for Christmas for a grandson who has pretty much everything a kid could ask for. My wife was embroidering pillowcases for our kids and I had brought out our light box to trace the designs onto the pillowcases for her. I use a light box on a fairly regular basis for all sorts of craft and design projects and had recently won a very pricey one in a design contest. Suddenly I realized that a thirteen year old grandson with a decent creative streak might really appreciate a light box - if I could find a decent one that didn't cost an arm and a leg, so I started searching. I was surprised to find these at a 25 dollar price point...and LED...and fully dimmable! Our ($125) fancy light box isn't even dimmable! So I jumped in there and ordered one. This little thing is great! Just a little thicker than a pane of glass, touch controls, dimmable. Outstanding! The light is wonderfully even and it's just, well, sleek and slick. I absolutely love it. In fact, I strongly considered sending him ours and keeping this one because of the dimming feature but I thought that would be a little tacky, so we sent it along, hoping he'll appreciate it as much as we did. I'm still thinking about ordering another one for myself - but that's a tough choice when I already have what's supposed to be a top of the line light box. But the light on mine isn't adjustable... Still thinking about it. One very small thing: The surface is marked on the top and left sides...in centimeters. I'm a geezer who will probably never convert so it would be really nice if maybe they could have marked the bottom and right sides in inches as well. Oh well - just one of the downsides of being a dinosaur. At any rate, these light boxes are a major evolutionary step forward for a very useful craft and design tool - and an outstanding value at the price.

The second review, a first look
[Edit: I was able to run this off battery pack... see review.] I bought this based on the specs, before anyone had reviewed it. I thought for the price, it was worth the experiment. So this is the second review on the product. I was amazed at how thin this is... think a tad thinner than the rubber part of the micro USB connector. It appears to be three layers. The top appears to be a thin acrylic. The middle is the LED part. The bottom appears to be some sort of sturdy styrofoam/soft plastic with small knobs for feet (so the cable can be plugged in). There is an optional (not included) rounded foot you can put on light box to create an angle. It does not have a clip (which I think is not necessary). It also sports a ruler on two edges. The cable is long enough to have the tower sitting on the floor and light box propped up at an angle on the desk, but only just. I tried to run it off a 16,000 mAh power bank (back up battery). [Edit: I was able to run this off the mentioned power bank without problem. I didn't run it for long but it was okay for the time I needed it. The first time it seemed to go off quickly.] I found the on - off function frustrating. It will shut down, seemingly randomly... but will turn on when the power "button" is touched again. The only thing I can think of is that pressing on the surface at some points may mimic pressure on the power button. (I was making sure I was not touching the power switch.) But that's a matter of touch that I think I have down now. The light is adjustable (up or down) simply by keeping your finger on the power "button." The work area is 9 inches by a little over 12.5 inches. I've used this for two quick projects in full sunlight. I could easily see through Canson 140 lb water color paper and Strathmore Bristol Vellum 100 lb. (series 300) without eye strain (at three solid hours of use). So, heavy paper in full sunlight... not a problem. For those of you who are tacking your work to a window, this is a serious upgrade. I do not know about it's reliability. It's pretty flexible. If I had a guess, it's week point would be the mico-USB port. Conclusion: Inexpensive, acceptably bright, Mitsubishi Acrylic Panel, super thin and light. I don't like being tethered to a computer (or potentially an outlet) for a power source. For the price, I can live with that...

Great Light Table
The light table came in on time works as described perfectly. Very light, lighter than expected. Looks like this was well made and should last just fine. I got tracing paper as well but the light on this is more than bright enough to see through regular paper with no issues. I give it a 4 star only because USPS was the way it was shipped/mailed off to me, even though a Amazon truck arrived delivering packages to my 2 neighbors 20 mins before USPS arrived.. Not sure why it was shipped that way.. The other reason is the edges are a bit sharper than I think is needed. I am going to soften them up just a bit on my own. I do recommend this product to others. The pictures are off, on lowest, on highest, standard printer paper w/ drawing, standard printer paper w/ drawing then 2nd piece of standard printer paper over the top. on all most the lowest brightness....

Surprisingly Good Quality
For how inexpensive it is, it’s really great quality. The board itself is thin and light so it’s very bed/floor friendly for when you don’t feel like drawing at a desk, and the lighting is very bright. I was able to transfer a sketch onto thick watercolor paper without struggle. You can also adjust the brightness level which makes things a lot easier. The cord is short so be prepared to have a longer one if you don’t plan to sit right next to an outlet but that didn’t matter to me as much.

Wonderful for Weeding
I got this to use for weeding out vinyl pieces cut with my Cricut machine. Having a light source in the background makes the process so much easier. This is large enough to put the majority of a sheet on at a time and see where the seams are. The surface is strong enough that I’m not concerned about puncturing it when using weeding tools. Stores perfectly in my cricut crafting table.

Wish I hadn’t waited so long to get one of these! 🤩
I have a serious drawing hobby and have been toying with the idea of getting one of these for a while but kept putting it off since I assumed it would be like $40+ to get a good one. I’m so glad I finally went and looked because this has worked perfectly for me and at a great price! My only minor complaint is that the touch control button can be a little bit finicky, and sometimes I have to press a couple times before it responds, but it’s not a big enough deal to be worth dropping a star. The continuous-variability brightness is a huge plus; I really appreciate having more fine control over that depending on the lighting in the room and the thickness of the papers I’m using for tracing. It’s also nicely thin and lightweight so it’s easy to carry around. Definitely recommend for any other art hobbyists looking for something like this!
