these work well for ice, but chocolate breaks when you try to take it out. If you use chocolate, you need to fill it up to the top to make sure it's strong enough to remove.

I was very excited when I saw these star shaped ice molds. I had a few ideas going through my mind when I was ordering this. Nonetheless, I couldn't wait for it to be delivered.When it came in the mail, I opened it right up, and examined it. It is made of a high grade silicone, is sturdy but also flimsy. It’s easy to wash and use. Any age can use these molds without any trouble.My first use was making ice cubes. I washed the tray, then dried it and filled it with water and placed it in the freezer overnight. The next day, I took it out of the freezer and examined the ice molds. I found it very easy to take it out of the tray. The water formed into a nice ice star. My kids were excited to see how perfect the ice came out. This is their favorite ice tray so far.There is nothing I wish was different, they are great! You can also use it for other projects other than just making ice cubes. I plan on using them to make some homemade chalk in the shape of stars and also jello. These are just a couple of examples of the different uses for the ice mold (tray).I received this ice mold at a discount. This is my honest opinion.

I enjoyed using this product when I babysat my little cousin. We made ice, and also made little dessert star cubes with juice. It was very easy to use, wash, and reuse. It froze the ice quickly and I had no problems cleaning it out. I just used regular dishwashing liquid to clean it out.
