Yes, it is thick and dries in a stiff cast on your hair. But this IS for curly hair so... The application isnt super easy because once on the hair it feels a bit sticky and stiff, but it helps if your hair is pretty wet so that it helps to thin it out and distribute it throughout. The cast creates a nice curl and scrunches out nicely.The color is awesome! I used to get my hair colored to a rose gold but now that I have gone curly, my dark blond hair is a bit dull colored and this rose gel really spiffed up the color. And it was really well distributed too. I love it. I cant wait to try the copper.It is a little difficult to refresh with this gel and is more of a wash the day after thing...

Definitely more like pink infused than pink color. As others have said, beautiful curls! I worked gel into hair section by section with my fingers and fully diffused. It got less pink as it dried so I scrunched in a bit more. Didn’t notice any transfer of color/glitter to clothes.Next time I will used more product, do much smaller sections (like a salon would do for foil highlights), and comb through.

disappointed by this product, it is advertised to show up on darker hair colors, but it did not show up on my brown hair. if you have dark hair, I would stay away from the pink color and instead get the copper color. This gel is also very thick which I’ve noticed don’t like, but it works for my hair. washes off in one rinse.

I have curly hair and have wanted to use Curlsmith products for a while. My daughter had crazy hair day at school so I figured this was a good chance for two uses of one product. She has straight fine hair and the color sat well on her hair. It was clearly a colored gel type paint on her hair but it worked for crazy hair day. I used it on my curls and while the color was definitely there, it wasn’t as pronounced on my curls as on the straight hair. My hair is black so it almost looked like fine highlights

The product does not do well on my textured hair and transfers quite easily. I had to apply a lot to try and achieve the look I wanted but did not get that rose gold look at all. It also made my hair feel super dry and crunchy once it dried. It was also very messy to apply. I will pass on another purchase.

Obviously I didn’t follow directions. I wanted to blow my curly hair straight, so I put this product all over damp hair and blew it out. All the color flakes off, it doesn’t work. If I had used it as instructed, it would have been fine.

Yes! For a subtle look, be sure to start with a little and build the color up. I used Rose Gold and first used a lot of it, and I felt like I was wearing a wig and it made my hair look very dry and strawlike. I wash my hair and did it again and only added it to some curls when my hair was wet and I was pretty happy with the result. I made it look like natural highlights. Make sure you use leave in conditioner first.
