Whether you are a seasoned business owner or rookie, this book will provide “Nuggets” of great information throughout the chapters. In addition to this book, Paul’s Green Industry Podcast is simply amazing and extremely helpful.

Excellent Business Advice
Paul lives his life and leads by example through God, and this shines through to everyone all of the time. So I knew from his FaceBook posts and outreach there that I would already be getting a good dose to the soul because of what he builds his foundation on. So many entrepreneurs market their books towards having the #1 plan that will make you rich, but not Cut That Grass and Make That Cash.Paul walks you through his humble beginnings and the up and down rollercoaster that every single business owner experiences. He talks about the seeds he started with to grow his business, and the process he utilized to elevate his business to the next level. I already utilize the same strategy in my business that Paul eventually grew into; The strategy to learn from others in the industry, to seek out those top performers and then craft that knowledge into what makes your business uniquely yours. As I continued reading, I was able to think of other individuals in my industry that are in similar places that Paul experienced. But I feel 10 steps ahead of the game, because as I now spot certain behaviors or patterns in my business, I now have an alternate way to approach them. Paul shares what didn’t work for him so that I don’t have to spend 2 years learning the same lessons that took him 2 years to learn the hard way. Many of the best practices he shares can be applied to many businesses, it isn’t specific to lawn care. So many business books talk about “understanding your numbers” but Paul talks about how implementing a Bookkeeper had revolutionized his business. Now I might be biased, as a bookkeeper myself, and no not Pauls bookkeeper, but it just simply isn’t discussed enough in business books.Paul has a heart of service, and you can feel that the way he wrote the book. Even if you're not in the lawn care industry, I highly recommend this book. He shares some excellent business advice through the stories of his experience. And again, there is no better way to learn than from someone who has done it, failed and tried again and again and again… but came out resilient AND successful. The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice. Proverbs 12:15

Great book. A MUST Read!!
This book has been a blessing. You can hear the turmoil and the joy Paul experienced through the various events at the beginning of his business. It’s a true rollercoaster of emotions and Paul did a great job of explaining in detail the pitfalls that a new landscaping business might experience and how to avoid making the same mistakes. Thanks for a great book Paul! -Jason Sease (Lake Tapps Landscaping)

Learn from Paul’s mistakes and his success
This book was a page turner! Paul shares his wealth of knowledge and experience from running his own lawn and landscape business for over 10 years. His honesty about his humble beginnings and sharing what he learned will fast forward your progress if you don’t make the same mistakes he did. I found myself reflecting on similar mistakes I made and busting up laughing at how funny it seems now. Thank you Paul for sharing your story and knowledge!

Relatable Stories, Powerful Principles!
I love stories and find them an incredible way to communicate powerful business principles. That's probably why I liked this book so much. The author is a wonderful communicator and the journey he takes you on is very rewarding. Many of the best practices he shares can apply to a whole range of business ventures. The concept of understanding your numbers and how to better think about the professional side of lawn care as a business will pay dividends immediately. I think anybody in their first 5-10 years in the mowing game can learn from this book and those who have been around longer will be transported back to what they felt and experienced early in their career. I'm even going to buy a few extra copies to give to a couple of young nephews who are just getting started.

Not what you think it is
This book is essentially his personal story sprinkled with tips. You basically need to ready between the lines. It’s riddled with typos and incorrect punctuation. It’s also very repetitive. It’s almost as if he challenged himself to see how many times he could say the same thing in different ways. That or he did it on purpose to make the book longer. I was expecting a little story on the beginning and a basic “How To” after that. Simple and to the point. For example, buy this tool, charge this amount, go here and do that. Honestly not with $18 dollars.

Amazing book.
I am starting a business in the lawn care industry. I haven’t started it yet but this book has already helped me a lot. I know what to do and what not to do even before I even launch my business. I learned about billing, pricing, doing your due diligence when calculating costs, etc. I give all the glory to God. I don’t know how I found this book but somehow I found it, unexpectedly and I’m glad I did. I look forward to checking the podcast. Thank you Paul for your book!

Easy read
This book teaches you a few things here and there. For me the most useful was reading about the writers failures and how later on he could laugh about them as he learned from them.It was slightly to religious for me, a lot of references to Christianity. I understand this is a part of his life though.I would recommend this book more if you are afraid to start your business and need to know you're not alone being scared and that mistakes will happen but that it isn't the end of the world. It won't tell you how you should mow a lawn or what type of tools are the best and all that jazz but great for morale :)

Excellent Advice Told Through Stories
Paul brings the heat with this book! Some excellent business advice told through the stories that Paul has experienced himself. No better way to learn than from someone who has done it and continues to do it. Great work Paul!
