Perfect for partial submerged and under water photos.
My step son uses this along with his GoPro. He uses this every day on the beaches of Brazil. It is very sensitive to scratches so great care when using is very important. This is his second one and he really likes the quality. keeping it clean is super easy with a gentle terry cloth or microfiber. Water beads off of it very easily and this is important for those partial submerged shots.

Beautiful pictures but clumsy
Good dome that allows to take beautiful pictures in the water, but quite heavy and clumsy. Easy to scratch, make sure to always(!) put it in the protective sleeve when not in water.

This housing is a lot of fun!
The media could not be loaded. This is my first dome port, and for an amateur like me this works really well. I got a lot of great footage with this housing, and had a lot of fun experimenting. I unfortunately didn’t get a lot of practice with the macro lens unfortunately so I can’t comment. I also chose not to use the trigger, so I can’t comment on that either. The housing is very bouyant so be aware of that. If free diving, make sure you have a weight belt or something to grab onto for filming at shallow depth. The video in this review was taken at about 4-5 ft depth with the red filter. The smudge (if you notice it) was just me being careless, and not wiping the dome port. All in all, it’s a great addition to my uw filming kit. It is acrylic so be VERY careful and mindful not to scratch the dome. It will scratch easily. Have fun!

Best Amazon purchase in a while!
I am so impressed with this design! It’s awesome to be able to switch to the red filter in the water. I’m not sure why there are bad reviews on this thing. My only complaint would’ve been a more detailed instructions on how to piece it together and use. I mean it’s kinda common sense but not really.

Not suited for diving, fun for snorkel
I liked this dome and really wanted to like it more but there are some design flaws that have prompted me to return it. Primarily the loss of the view port for seeing the screen on the front of the GoPro if you purchase the model with the rotating red and macro filters. You can buy this dome in two versions with either the rotating wheel giving you the red, macro or no filter or the other version is no filters and just the viewing port to the screen on the front of the camera. For me that is a big loss and I don't understand why the manufacturer could not figure out a way to have bothby putting that wheel on the opposite side. Now let's talk about diving with this cute little thing.. honestly it is a great little product but it has a place in our aquatic adventures and I don't think that is best suited on a scuba dive below the surface. It is certainly super fun for a snorkel or as I have seen lots of other reviews suggest for swimming pools as a training aide, beaches and dogs crashing into the waves etc. Now from a scuba diving perspective the housing is a whole lot of trouble. The reason for this is that by design the dome has a decent amount of air space inside and as we all know that this air space in scuba diving means that the housing will be positively buoyant underwater. Have you ever tried holding a football underwater at 4feet in a pool? It's fun but you will get tired real quick! So for regular scuba diving I think you need to understand the significant positive buoyancy and you will need to either switch housings from this fun surface housing before you go deep to a conventional underwater housing or add some weight to the dome so that you can make it neutral and not feel like you are wrestling it the whole dive. For me the loss of the viewports when I purchase the red/macro lens option is enough to pass on it and I could have worked out the buoyancy issue.

A bit heavy, but great purchase!
Easy to assemble, a bit pricy, but it seems good quality. I haven’t used it yet but I think it’ll work just fine because I have high expectations.

Cannot get clear images due to the plastic lens
The dome causes foggy images, even after using defogging solution on the lens as instructed. The images and videos are so blurry due to this, that it completely defeats the purpose of using it. I believe it is due to the material being plastic instead of hard glass. It might not be feasible to have this type of product in hard glass, since it would need a case and be heavy etc. but as it is, the product does not work with the plastic lens and ruined the videos I tried to make with it.
