Great truck. I've only had it a few days and it is a blast. Battery life is not great but bought a heavier battery and the run time is greatly improved. This is used by my 8yo granddaughter and gets a lot of punishment that it takes very good. Got a few dings but truck is holding up great. Probably buy another for my Grandson.

Nice truck, but parts are only available online and the shipping is a little steep.
I got this for my son for his birthday. I chose it, because the reviews seemed good, and the price was right. I am not an online buyer, but I could not (at the time) find a local shop who sold RC trucks. We unpacked it, charged it for several hours, then let her rip. It is fast as all get out, is pretty tough. My son drove it into the curb at full speed, and later jumped it at full speed. It landed bumper first, tumbled a half dozen times, landed upright, and was still ready to go. Later he broke the bumper and a steering knuckle. They were cheap to replace from nitrorcx, but it was $10 to ship it, and a week wait. If I buy my other sons these, I think I will go to the local shop and pay a little more for a Traxxis. For the money I paid, it does the trick. Great for a 13 year old to tear up the lawn with, but not for a person who wants to "get into" RC cars.

My Nephew was thrilled with this gift, but, a part of this RC Car broke off the day after Christmas, and the seller has yet to respond to my email asking about repair or replacement.

Sold entry level RC for kiddos
It is plenty fast enough for my little boys (9years old). The vehicle is very well made and for $119, there is nothing even close. I will give HERO-RC a shout out as well. They were very responsive with an issue. If your kids are begging for an RC, you'd be wise to consider this before dropping north of $200 for a Traxxas (even though they are fantastic).

Great item definitely recommended
Got this for my grandson's 9th birthday and he loves it. It is fast, loads of fun and very responsive. Takes a while to control as the instructions are not very good especially what the switches and knobs on the controller do. The operating manual is a zero. After a few days of use, the car essentially died. It did not want to run more then a few inches and hour, although the battery was fully charged..Don't despair. After a few minutes I discovered the motor lost power not because it was broken but because it was full of junk both from the manufacturer (oils) and sand from the street where my grandson ran it. This is an easy fix. Take the motor out of its cage but do not disconnect any wires. Fill a small water glass or paper cup with distill water. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT- BEFORE YOU TAKE THE MOTOR OUT TAKE A FEW PICTURES OF THE AREA WHERE THE MOTOR IS LOCATED; FROM AS MANY ANGLES AS POSSIBLE. YOU WILL FIND THIS USEFUL WHEN YOU WANT TO PUT IT BACK. Totally immerse the motor in the water and run it as slow as possible for about 20 mins. The water will turn cloudy, oily and some dirt will float out. After 20 min increase the motor a little more for another 5 min. BTW you have to sit and hold the controller for this unless you devise a method to hold the speed constant. Too fast a revolution will make a mess-water will spill everywhere. Once you have done this, you need to remove the water that is in the motor. Use a can of compress air or compressor and blow the water out. Be careful not to blow too strong. Do not hold the can too close to the motor as the air will be cold and condense water from the air around you will collect on the motor. Once it is dry put a drop of oil on the motor shafts then run the motor at full speed. observe the commutator inside the motor. That will be the copper looking ring with two brushes touching it. If while it is running you see light then the commutator is dirty, most likely from the dirty water. Take a can of contact cleaner (MAKE SURE IT IS NON FLAMMABLE) and spray the place where you see the sparking. That should clean the commutator. If the commutator is not clean the motor will not last. REMEMBER THE CONTACT CLEANER MUST BE A NON-FLAMMABLE TYPE. I recently bought another one for these my grand daughter's 11th birthday. Of course hers is red, his was blue.

great truck for a starter
Fast but not self destructive. My daughters and I have beat this thing and had a blast. Be careful of the shocks, bent one in a head on crash with the end of a pipe. Overall a lot of fun. I would buy another.
