The Queen Will Betray You: 2 (Kingdoms of Sand and Sky)

This book made me rage sooo hard!! Lots of stupid decisions and ugh, extremely unlikeable characters.So with that said, a lot happens. New betrayals. New twists. New characters. New alliances, which I will say threw me off but I really really enjoyed. It was definitely entertaining. Surprisingly, I actually felt some sympathy toward a character I originally HATED.We do get a couple interesting POV changes in this and some flashbacks. I liked that this was included and it brought more to the story.I definitely liked this book way more than the first. I was invested from the first page and my emotions were alllll over the place. There was lots of action. The pacing was fit. I was rooting for my band of misfits and yes, Ula is still a badass and still my fav.Anddddd… another cliff hanger I didn’t see coming, but was hinted at the very end.I recommend this series and seriously cannot wait to see how this story concludes.

Well what can I say about The Queen Will Betray You other than I loved loved loved it!!!! I am simply thrilled that The Princess Will Save You and this are inspired from the Princess Bride and in The Queen Will Betray You the underlying notes of The Princess Bride are certainly there. I love Luca and Amarande's story. Luca very much grows into his own in this book, I loved watching him become stronger and more sure of himself without ever doubting or regretting his love for Amarande and the extent that the two of them would and do go for one another. Taillifer ended up being a rather intriguing character and you never know exactly where his loyalties lie. It was surprising to hear the words "As You Wish" come from him to many times. I actually grew to rather like him. The Warlord is ever present in the story along with some interesting twists that I can't wait for people to read. Koldo continues to be a favorite of mine even while I may have been slightly disappointed a few times by her choices. I cannot shout it from the rooftops or the pages as it is how much I love this book, I was so sad to come to the end!

The cover for this book is unbelievably beautiful. The detail that is put into the covers for the series it’s just breathtaking.
