.the touted 'alternative inexpensive to delft' stuff is rougher and doesn't give as much detail.Delft can be a bit gritty but if pounded/compacted tightly, will give sharp results.Did many casting in same pressings before having to reset with same stamps and continue: PLUSwhat may get burned is easily re-used and reused mine right away.worth the money

This clay has less grainy ness on the finished product than the clay that came with casting kit.

I have no issues with Delft clay, but I do have issues with the fact I could have bought 4.4 lbs of this for the same price. Thats double the amount for $44.75 at Rio Grande. The description reads 2.2 Lbs here, but that slipped passed me, and I assumed for the price Id be getting the same quantity. What an absolute rip off! Ill stick with Rio Grande next time.

There isn't much you can say about Deft Clay!!! It worked as expected, the shipper done exactly right and I really enjoyed that.. They are greatpeople to work with.
