The cables were delivered promptly after I had telephoned a local dealership who answered with a recorded message about being so busy! I have not had the opportunity to connect them up yet but I have no reason to doubt they won't work as described. The cables are brand new, large, solid and in perfect condition.

Okay materials, spoiled by sloppy assembly.Check the cable ends immediately on delivery. If 2 pairs of anchoring tabs on each croc-clip handle were left open, press them down to stop the cable from bending upward and breaking away. The wire strands seem to be copper-coated aluminium. Lightweight, but delicate.If sharp burrs have already severed many cable strands, then first undo each eye-tab, pull-back the super-thick cable sleeve and apply solder to stiffen the crimp joint. Purist DIY'ers can add pieces of heatshrink sleeving. Not a particularly easy DIY task with such heavy cables, but all 4 ends can be carefully done and reassembled in under 2 hours.The rubber cable-sleeves had a strong odour and the copper croc-clips seemed too big and somewhat flimsy, but the super-long properly working cables continuously cranked a very reluctant 2.3L engine with very weak battery directly off another running car for 2 minutes: No waiting. Just the ticket!

My neighbour struggled to start her car so I bought these the jump pack we had failed. These leads are Top quality, nice and long, came in a bag so easy to store and most importantly started the car first time without a problem. For the price these are a must have thanks.

I have not had the need to use them yet but on the surface they look good, I have check the quality of the crimping of the cable to the crocodile clip's and all is sound. The crocodile clip's have good strong spring's to provide a tight connection to the battery terminal's. They come in a handy storage bag. I am happy with them and when needed are going to perform the task required.

I bought these on the basis they were rated to 3000amps and were "heavy duty". In fact the connectors are incredibly flimsy (you can twist them sideways with no effort) and do not open wide enough to go over the battery cable clamps. I would certainly not trust them anywhere near the 3000amps quoted and they would only work if you removed the cables and go directly onto the terminals. To make matters worse even though they are not fit for purpose I am being asked to return them and pay tracked postage which is non refundable!!
