This product is amazing, I wish I bought this sooner. I bought this due to chronic migraine and the lights were overwhelming and causing a lot of pain. Before this I had blankets tacked to the wall to try and reduce the light. It reduced harsh lights from getting in and actually can look out the window without a major attack immediately. The privacy works well and reflects from the outside. We would keep our AC on 66 and still be hot on the 3rd floor, the apartment was noticeably cooler immediately and could raise the temp without feeling hot. We only had enough for 3 windows but hoping to buy more for the last window soon as it works so well. Easy to adhere if you know what you’re doing, does take a while to measure and cute and then apply but worth the work in the end! Hasn’t moved and even with mistakes it works well!

First off, I'll say that yes, this particular product works as well as any plastic film that goes on a window could be expected to. I simply strongly recommend that anybody that just wants to darken a window consider other options. Getting a good application of this kind of product is extremely frustrating. It sticks to windows surprisingly well with no adhesive, but that's sort of the issue, once it sticks, you can't get the wrinkles and bubbles out. So, the solution the manufacturer suggests is to apply soapy water. Well, if you apply enough that it doesn't stick, it simply doesn't stick. If there is a balance to be found, I didn't find it in an hour of trying. Either the edges peel off, or it can't be smoothed out. Also trimming off the excess is nearly impossible to do without ripping it off the window, even with a brand new Exacto blade. Maybe somebody much more patient that me could get this to work, but after my best attempt was still a wrinkly, bubbly mess, I ripped it all off and threw the rest of the roll directly in the trash. This product isn't defective, but it's simply too hard to use for 99% of people.
