Ideal for playing VRChat in the dark
Tested on the Pico 4 Ultra with my trackers and everything in complete darkness, they work perfectly! And a small red light is barely visible, so it doesn't bother anyone while they sleep.

Does Generate Heat
Product functions as described and works as claimed, infact I'd even go as far as saying even better.Tracking definitely improved, even I noticed the difference using the Oculus Quest 2.My play area has diffused lightingDidn't realize during the daylight it was affecting my tracking and overall image quality and was just getting-by.Upon first use during the day I definitively noticed the difference.ContentsIt came with screws and plugs for wall mounting, connecting AC electrical cord with switch and power brick.Reading the reviews before purchasing I became aware of its shortcomings.Such as:Housing made of thin plasticShort product lifespanBurnt-out IR leds after short useAll of these User problems possibly could have been avoided upon receiving(Most products with LEDS produce heat)*Took care in handling and twisting the thin plastic case to get the optimal positioning.*Turned vent slots to optimize HEAT dissipation (wallmounted), one on bottom and two on top.*Care taken in handling electrical cords as not to twist while positioning.* Used 3M Command damage-free hanging system, to ease mounting instead of supplied screws.Heat and DustAside from water, heat and dust is probably any electrical products worst enemy. This product does Generate heat and so does my Flatscreen T.V., which has been on almost 24/7 since purchased two years ago.Whenever its on I've a fan blowing from the side to vent and keep T.V. and IR cool. I'll Turn it OFF when not in use.(NOT recommended for Outdoor use.)Come on guys, for its price it's a definite bargain, just needs a little effort in handling and care.UPDATE 8/2024: Still performing as New.Found a few Leds not turning on, at first I thought it was burning out, which is not the case, it was the power brick. The way I've set it up was through a multi outlet surge protector. Which is always on, which keeps current flowing to the power brick which it was not intended for constant power 24/7. So I've learned to unplug it when not using it, now it's working and all Leds functioning.Btw: from this Vendor the Shipping and processing was extremely fast as it arrived about three days earlier than expected, ( I live across the Pacific.)

Fiddly, but it works
So let me get the issues out of the way first, since that's what most people are looking for:1. It can be hard to position the base if you're trying to just set in on something (as opposed to mounting it with screws) because the base is really light, and the cable doesn't easily fit through the pass-through holes on the bottom, so it's hard to get it to sit flat. This is exacerbated by the thickness/stiffness of the wire and it's also more of an issue depending on the angle of the rotating head.2. It's just about impossible to point the light parallel to the surface that it's resting on, it really wants to be angled up.3. The power cable is nice but the power switch is too far from the light. If I have the light sitting on a table or on top of a speaker, I have to reach all the way down to the floor to find the switch. I'd much rather it be located on the base itself so that it's easy to get to.4. There's no indicator showing when it's powered on. In the dark, it's not too bad because there's a very dim red glow coming from the LEDs, but it's so dim that with any lights on it can be very hard to tell if it's on or off, and this has already caused me to forget that they're on a few times, leaving them running overnight.I know that seems like a lot of things, but overall it's still a good unit. I haven't had too much trouble with headset tracking (PSVR2) in normal situations because I have a number of lights on in the living room when I'm playing, but even so when I add these lights it seems to be able to lock onto the play area faster. For games like Beat Saber, Synth Riders, Les Mills Bodycombat, and Synapse, where I'm basically standing in front of the TV in the brightest part of the room, these aren't really making a huge difference. Maybe a little, but it's hard to tell if I'm noticing an improvement because I'm looking for one. This isn't a problem with the lights, it's just that they're unnecessary because I have plenty of light there. But for games where I might need more space to move around like Puzzling Places, I have to stand perpendicular to the TV because my play area is longer in that direction. And since the lighting isn't as good when facing the perpendicular wall, I sometimes have minor tracking issues where the view in the headset starts to sway a little. This is where the lights really shine (no pun intended) because when I use them, the tracking is dead on.The same goes for sitting games. Even though there seems to be plenty of light by my couch, for some reason my headset likes to complain about the lighting sometimes when I'm playing GT7 or Moss, and I can feel the position swaying to the point that it makes me a little uncomfortable. It even blanks out on occasion with a warning that there's not enough light to play. It's kind of baffling considering I'm literally sitting next to a lamp, but whatever. Once again, these lights save the day and give me a rock solid tracking experience.Despite the issues, these are a good buy if you need a little something extra to give your headset the light it needs to track right.

Most expensive but I believe worth it
I bought this so i can use vr in the dark and it works well. In the dark it looks like a slim red light , but it really allows me to reach everywhere in the room as though it was illuminated. I also had this thing pointed up into the ceiling, so the ir light was likely bouncing everywhere. Some things to dislike: fairly cheaply made. All the parts are not adhered and any part can be taken out by accident, including the chip used to power the device, the rotating mechanism also falls out if you tug at it too hard. Mounting it on the wall was sort of a pain as well, there are holes that you can slip on and secure but it has to be done from the top, meanwhile the cable has to be routed underneath so the design was clearly an afterthought.Overall, given what i've seen from others, this is the best design. And really how can i complain when I've been using it consistently and only concern for the design was during assembly.

Surprised it worked
It actually works, you may have to buy a couple more so if you’re turning in room you still have one in site. To track.

If you’re looking, just go ahead and buy it.
Game. Changer. No more disturbing my family. I work graveyard shifts, but that doesn’t change the fact that-like many people-when I get off work I want to play some games and relax. Well, not everyone is appreciative of big lights being turned on at four in the morning, and this little lamp provides enough IR light to be able to play in complete darkness with no issues. The headset has not lost tracking once. For $20 you really can’t beat it, I definitely recommend this lamp. It’s only been a few days so I’m hoping it has good longevity, but for now it’s been perfect.
