Handy Can Opener, Colors May Vary

I had one of these for 10-15 years and it finally stopped working. I found the exact one and i love it.

This battery operated electric can opener is easy to use and effectively opens all size cans. It is light weight, not expensive, and stores easily in a drawer. My only wish is that it was more long lasting. This is my second one, since the first one broke. I bought the same exact one, however, because of its many pluses.

I have had two of these. The first one was really excellent for about a year. Then the batteries died mid-use and it got stuck on a can of tomatoes. I could not get it off and getting the tomatoes out of the can was no treat either. But I like the way these open cans, so I ordered another one. The second one lasted about a month. Then...poof...it died. New batteries were no use. But at least this one died in a drawer, not midway through making spaghetti sauce. I must be a glutton for punishment. Just decided to order a third one.

This is way cool! start it and let it go! I ended up buying 5 of them and gave them as Christmas Presents!

Have used this model can opener for years Mostly gives good service. I usually buy two so I will have a spare. My first one recently failed and nothing I did would make it work. (ie changing batteries, turning know, hitting release button.) Pulled out spare unit and inserted new batteries. Would not work. Removed batteries from another device that I knew were working. Still didn't work. I could understand old one stopping. But a brand new one out of the plastic case? Very disappointed.

Gourmet Trends Handy Can OpenerbyFirst, I should say I only have one hand/ arm that works. My left side is paralyzed due to a stroke.Having an easy way to open cans is important to me. I have a P-51as a back-up but it takes me about five (5) minutes to open a standard size can. I just used this product and it took maybe five (5) seconds.It states right on the packaging NOT FOR IRREGULAR SHAPED CANS. If you want something to open oblong or square or rectangular cans this is not for you.If you ever think you could lose power and you need to open cans, I'd suggest that you get one of these and a  Military Survival Kit Can Opener, P-51, US Shelby Co. (Pack of 4) or  2-Pack P-51 C & K-Ration Can Opener (the only difference is the size). The P-36 is 36 millimeters long, the 51 is, you guessed it 51 millimeters long.I recommend both products mention in this review.Gunner April, 2014

I have had one of these for years it broke last year and I had to order a new one, the first one didn't work so I sent it back. It broke last week so I ordered another one. It doesn't work!!!!
