Ah-mazing!!! If you’ve never tried The Mane Choice, then this is a game changer. It melts in your hand like coconut oil, but softens hair so much more. It’s my go to when my hair is dry! I usually use it every few night as a part of a braid routine. I use this product, along with water, and a good moisturizer to seal my hair. There is no need for a lot of it, a little goes a long way! I use to have to moisturize everyday or use products that were incredibly thick that would ruin a hairstyle. This product doesn’t do this and doesn’t revert your hair back to a curly state, so you can use it whether you’ve just straightened your hair or when you’re going au naturale. Nowadays I only really use this along with two other products (leave-in and cream moisturizer).I will be honest and say it is grittier than when I’ve bought it in the store. Feels like it wasn’t mixed well enough before being put in the jar. Maybe a slightly bad batch is sold through amazon? It still works great though and seems like the same product.Long review, but I really do love this product! It’s become a staple product that I have to have at all times!

I’ve bought this product before but now the consistency of the product is has changed and not for the better. It used to have an apricot scent now it’s more citrus. It use to melt like butter in my hands now it doesn’t so it’s missing the nice moisturize texture it would give to the hair. Thumbs down on the new and improved product. Pleas go back to the original ingredients.

Normally I purchase this product in the store. However, where I currently live, they don’t offer many products for minorities. I received the product and the texture Is different from the others I purchased in the past. It still some what works, but leaves white beads in the hair...normally this product goes on smoothly. Other than that, if you receive it with the correct texture, it works great on 4c hair.

I am not sure what's changed .. but the two containers I received did not look like the product I bought @ Target.The formula is very lumpy, The original was smooth and melted in my hands. This version (labeled New) is thick and has tons of tiny clumps. I've never seen this before and I buy this product all the time from Target.I am trying to make this work by rubbing the product between my hands to warm up it up and melt the lumps, but it still leaves small white clumps (my hair is black). Not happy with what I received. I gave it a 2 because it still adds moisture but it's going to take a lot to make it work for my hair.
