Pfaff Nature Pet Medium Carpal Joint Splint/Bandage for Dogs (Medium)

I purchased this for my 12-year old dog who has repeatedly injured his front left leg chasing squirrels. We don't have the money for an accurate diagnosis with an MRI, but the vet believes his injuries are most likely within the carpal joint, and recommended we look for a soft carpel splint. This German-made product is fabulous--we have none of the common problems reported by users of other products with stiff supports in them (loss of fur and blisters where it rubs, toe injuries from the inability to walk properly on the foot, etc). My dog is a bit of a wimp, and I was worried he would refuse to walk with it, but he clearly likes wearing it, and his limp largely disappears in less than a minute of walking in it. The splint is extremely well-made with 3 velcro straps that are quick and easy to put on. The center strap is largely elastic with velcro at the ends, making it even more comfortable. When I first got it though, I did bring it to my vet and had him show me how to put it on properly, which is probably crucial for it to be comfortable and effective for the dog. The medium size fits my 55-pound Keeshond, although it is on the larger side for him. I highly recommend this product, although you will have to be patient with the 2 week shipping time.

Slides down constantly and the size is exactly right for the measurements of my dogs arm.
