How many phones can i connect at once. i have two phones a huewei and a iphone. are these compatible?

That’s an interesting scenario! My legend is paired with multiple devices, incl an iPhone, but I only ever hv one device in range at any time, so it connects to that device. I honestly don’t know if it could simultaneously be on standby, so to speak, with multiple devices in range and just connect as calls come in or are made.

Is anyone 100% sure this comes with a usb-a bt adaptor/dongle to connect to a desktop pc ?

No it doesn't. This is just the headset for use with an existing bluetooth device such as a phone, tablet etc. You would have to buy a compatible usb bluetooth dongle to connect to a PC that didn't already have bluetooth.

Do you need to install a driver to use it with a laptop?

Yes you can , when the connected phone rings the headset will announce the caller with an option of Answer or Ignore . To answer you simply say Answer . Hope this clarifies your query .
