Truly a game changer
I recently bought a 5 burner stove where the middle one is an elongated gas burner. I was thinking what should I use it for when it occurred to me, that this would be it! And I don’t regret anything. The taste of grilled meats, breads and vegetable made on cast iron grill is irreplaceable. If you season it properly and take care of it, it will last forever. You can also take it for desert bbq. Don’t use high heat, medium is the best, always add oil for better experience. If you season it properly and take care of it, it should become completely non-stick.

Not pre-greased
Not as expected, although it says that it is pre-greased, it is not! I follows the instructions to grease it, including putting in the oven but still didn't get the result I was looking for.

Una plancha para toda la vida
Despues de 6 meses usandola estoy muy contento con la plancha. Está curada y no se pega nada. Se conserva como el primer dia y la comida sabe genial.

Ignore the bad reviews, it just takes some work and pride....
I bought this because I have several cast iron grill pans, but not a flat plancha style griddle for cooking steak and eggs, for instance.I can't really understand the 1 and 2 star reviews from people complaining about rust and sticking. I have attached a picture of mine. It has been used to cook 2 meals. That's all. I simply followed the instructions - washed it in hot soapy water, used a scourer to remove the protective wax, oiled it and put it in the oven for an hour. I then got it super hot on the gas hob and applied more oil with a kitchen towel before cooking 2 ribeye steaks, courgette and onion, plus fried eggs - yes, eggs on the first go. I used a thermometer to check the steaks and they were perfect, the best I have ever cooked. I then scraped off any residue, wiped it with a damp cloth, got the heat back up and applied more oil.The second time I heated it up, applied some oil, let it smoke for a bit then added oil for cooking which literally skated and shimmered on the surface. I cooked Philadelphia cheese steaks with onion, green pepper, garlic and mushroom, plus thinly sliced steaks. Everything cooked and chargrilled, and nothing stuck. Once again I scraped off any residue, wiped down with a wet cloth and oiled it.So this is it after 2 uses, and it is exactly as it should be - blackened, looking well used though it isn't, shiny with the polymerised oil coating and non-stick enough to fry eggs on. There is a small patch where it is uneven, but this will sort itself after more usage.Any problems are user error I am afraid. It's really not that difficult to get your head around creating a non-stick coating by heating oil, scraping off residue after use, using a damp cloth and not using detergent and oiling it before storing it. It is a bit of effort, and yes a bit of pride and satisfaction, but the results are much better than an easy maintenance non-stick version. Nothing worthwhile in life is easy, and I think that is the source of the bad reviews.

Ottima bistecchiera in ghisa
Il prodotto è arrivato entro i tempi previsti con Sda. Per quanto riguarda la qualità non si discute: resistente ed efficace per ottenere carne grigliata molto bene. La consiglio sicuramente, anche perchè è a un prezzo ragionevole.Non pesa troppo ed è comoda perché sta su due fuochi e quindi è possibile cucinare diverse cose contemporaneamente (es. carne e verdure.). Ha due lati: uno zigrinato e uno liscio, usabili a scelta.***PRIMA DELL'USO C'E' DA EFFETTUARE UN PROCEDIMENTO DI "STAGIONATURA" CHE ATTIVA UNA PATINA PROTETTIVA, le cui istruzioni non sono riportate in italiano. Ve lo descrivo.In pratica bisogna lavare con sapone (no detersivo piatti) e acqua calda la griglia. Si asciuga. Poi la si cosparge con olio vegetale (es. olio di girasoli) su entrambi i lati e si mette in forno a 200° per un'ora. Finita la cottura in forno si aspetta che si raffreddi e si rimuovere con un panno di carta l'olio eccedente (fa un po' di odore durante l'infornata ma è normale). A questo punto è pronta per l'utilizzo. Il procedimento si può ripetere periodicamente se si usa molto (es. una volta all'anno) per mantenere la qualità del prodotto.NON VA MAI LAVATA IN LAVASTOVIGLIE O CON DETERSIVI PER PIATTI, ma solo con acqua calda ed eventuale sapone grattando via con una spugnetta i residui.

Perfekt und auch für Induktion geeignet.
Ich habe mir diese Grillplatte für meinen Induktionskochfeld ( Neff mit Variokochfelder ) geholt in der Hoffnung dass es funktioniert. Fazit: es funktioniert wunderbar, hat die perfekte Abmessungen. Die Platte wird sehr schnell heiß und Mann sollte, wie in der Beschreibung erklärt, die Platte auf mittlerer Hitze erstmal für 90 Sekunden erwärmen und dann erst höhere Stufen wählen. Bratwurst gelingt fantastisch!Da die Platte nicht absolut glatt ist würde ich sie vorsichtig auf die kochfelder legen und möglichst nicht verrutschen ( was bei dem Gewicht nicht schwer ist) um keine Kratzer auf der Glasoberfläche zu machen.
