Does the surface leave any residue when removing vinyl?

I used vinyl for the partial decoration of the car and there was no residue when it was removed. But it also depends on how smooth the surface of your sticker is.

I need to apply this to 1/4" lauan. Should I prime the board before applying or will it adhere without ?

The reflection is not really distorted..it is of the quality of a bootleg mirror from the dollar store.. hope this helps
