Highly Recommended
This cooling pad is thick, solid, and well constructed without being too heavy, not flimsy like some I have purchased in the past. The thick materials and carefully placed vents alone provide some heat convection and dissipation even without the fans running--it's that well made. I have tried this on a Lenovo and a Toshiba Qosmio 17" laptop because both had overheating problems. I have experienced no thermal issues with either laptop computer while using this cooling pad. The cooler moves a lot of air out from under the laptop in several directions and the air always feels cool even during heavy graphics use, so I know this thing is doing its job!I primarily bought this for cooling, because increasing ventilation greatly extends the life of a computer, but the speakers and lights are an added bonus. One suggestion: it would be nice to be able to turn off the lights if needed. I like the soft blue lights but I can think of instances where they might be obtrusive.

Not worth the money...AT ALL
The media could not be loaded. It works alright, the audio worked for about a week then decided to quit on me... If it was $25 it could be worth it.EDIT: WITH PICS AND A VIDEO (sorry about the quality lol). I bought this June 28th, and stopped using it August 4th.I've been using a different cooling pad the last week or so because this was blowing air that was hotter than my room temp! Got bored today and decided to open up this cooling pad to see how they had put it all together. I've used a couple other cooling pads in the past, this one is absolutely the worst. IT LASTED ABOUT 1 MONTH.It does a good job for the 2 weeks or so, then, it basically slowly stops doing anything. I used compressed air to keep it "clean" and it seemed to work. The audio went out sometime during the first 2 weeks, used the speakers maybe twice, you could easily buy some $1 speakers from goodwill and they'd work better than these. The speaker outlets AREN'T EVEN SCREWED INTO THE BOARD ITSELF, they're floating just being held together by the board itself. They fall out upon opening.SO I ended up opening it up, and WOW, the shoddiness is almost unbelievable. The top of the board (where the bottom of your laptop is sitting) doesn't have any way to push any excess/hot air out, it can only flow through the bottom of the board. Well, the bottom of the board only has maybe 1/4 inch of clearance from whatever surface it's on, there isn't anything built into the board to rise/tilt it vertically, so it gets filthy and hot very fast. The top of the board gets very hot, which then makes whatever air its pushing out warm, defeating its purpose. Like I said, it works well for a VERY short time, it looks "high end", but its anything but. ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE THIS IS NOT WORTH IT. Unless you plan on unscrewing 10+ screws weekly to clean the dust out and wiping everything down I would not recommend this junk to anyone!

Zalman NC-3500+ vs Bujian Music Laptop Cooler = BUJIAN IS THE WINNER!!!
I initially did not find this laptop cooler and instead found and purchased the Zalman Laptop Cooling Pad with Built-In 40mm Stereo Speakers and 4 USB Ports (NC3500 Plus). I received via Amazon Prime shipping, plugged in the single cable connector and it made absolutely no impression on me, other than it's massive size. I barely felt movement of any air, no lights, the plus was that the power & audio ran through a single USB cable - time to test the speakers - horrid. My laptop speakers were actually louder than what was built into the Zalman. Ugh! Ok, time to process a return and look for another. That's when this Bujian gem was found... I literally found it as my eyes were closing from the day's exhaustion. Thankfully it was there the next morning and I received via Amazon Prime shipping. I found the size of the box... non-intimidating... in size, at least compared to the Zalman, it looked manageable. Please keep in mind, I'm working with laptops 13" or less in size.It has a very... Power Rangers sort of feel and the name of the company reminds me of Bandai for some reason lol. Looks great, blue LEDs on the front and sides, they did not immediately turn on (I don't believe). I walked away and as I walked back, I looked from afar and was impressed to see the lights. I could care less if they even came with them, but it's a nice feature none-the-less.I pushed the fan speed knob to 100% and then started to push my laptop to max out on CPU usage. When I'm above 80% CPU utilization it's running pretty hot... usually above 60 deg cel. Sometimes it gets close to 70 and I start to shut excess, unneeded programs down to lower the temp. But this Bujian laptop cooler allows me to run my CPU from 79-99%, full-time and the temp just BARELY reaches 51 deg cel. THATS A REDUCTION OF 20 DEG CEL!!! THAT'S HUGE PEOPLE!!!So I'm super impressed with the cooling performance. Now it's time to test the audio. I plug in the 3.5mm audio cable from the headphone jack on my laptop to the jack on the back of the laptop cooler, ensure my audio settings are switched over to my headphone jack, rather than the built-in speakers in my laptop and start up a YouTube video. I half-expected to have the same performance as the Zalman - I WAS WRONG! I literally jumped back (it's not that great lol it's just 2 speakers), but in comparison to the Zalman, Bujian did an EXCELLENT JOB! Great audio performance if your laptop has really low volume speakers, even when you're on 100%. They are certainly no replacement for a 2.1 speaker setup that has an external power source, but to simply be run off a USB cable and 3.5mm cable - this Bujian is an AWESOME BUY!I gave 4 out of 5 stars for two reasons:1) Why the need for 2 cables, integrate the audio through USB - as a consumer and tech guy, I HATE CABLES. They usually hurt the overall design of products and make things look messier than they really are = 1/2 point reduction2) The fans are pretty loud when on full blast and even with them set on the lowest setting, just before being able to turn them off its certainly not anywhere near silent (or whispering lol), you will always hear them, BUT they certainly keep the air moving! Since I'm a techie kind of guy, I may try to crack this open and see if I can replace them with the same speed, but ultra quiet fans... = 1/2 point reductionThis is the 1st day/morning that I am using the unit and are my initial reactions to the laptop cooler. I have no affiliation with either Bujian or Amazon. I was not paid for this review. I've honestly never even heard of Bujian before. I paid for this laptop cooler with my own hard-earned cash and was not even provided a discount... I'm just a normal Amazon Prime member who likes tech gadgets.

Good but not good enough enough
Ive got a 2009 asus gaming laptop and it gets hot enough to keep you warm in the North Pole, anyways this cooler helps with heat and i can do web browsing and lower powered programs all day. But when i play video games like cod blackops it helps for an hour and then my pc starts showing signs of over heating. I counteract it by puting a fan blowing on it and i can play all day. With that said if the turbines were more powerful I wouldn't need to have another fan blowing on.
