Stretches Out
EDIT2: The plastic clip on these is disposable trash. However, I found that you can use these without using that clip part. I use Linsoul IEMs and the cord has a barrel section on it. If you place that barrel between the metal jaws, not in the teeth but a little deeper, you can get much longer life out of these clips. You can either clamp down on the barrel or let the barrel rest on top of the clip. Either way, this is far superior to using the attached plastic clip that loses all grip strength within a shot amount of time.EDIT: I changed my mind. These are basically trash. Like I said, the clip is strong but it's too sharp; it chews on whatever it bites. Mainly, though, is how quickly the U-part stretches out and loses its grip. These absolutely must use a better material or I won't buy them any more. If you need them for a single shoot or something, they're fine. Other than that, they're disposable, almost trash. They work but the part that grabs the device, not the alligator clip, stretches eventually. Basically this is a consumable item (as in expect to go through them like a few paper towel rolls, not as in edible).Would be cool if they upgraded that part with some techy composite so they’d maintain their firm grip on the device for longer.

Keep spare clips for lavalier microphones on hand!
They have legs, or something! They wander. I've even broken some over the years (this batch looks good and sturdy, and I haven't broken any of these). And if you have no clip, the microphone is a lot less useful in the usual setup!Sizing in general seems to be non-standard, so making sure the clips will fit your mics isn't completely obvious. They don't even give the shank size in some of the mic specs. Luckily, clips are cheap, and Amazon usually accepts returns (check the particular item before counting on that!). Another reason to have spares on hand is that, at lest the first time you order, you can't be absolutely certain they'll fit.
