Great product and scent and love it’s natural

I used Primal Pit Paste for years, and suddenly couldn’t find it anymore, as it turns out they’ve rebranded as “Pretty Frank.” So, once I tracked it down, I bought the Pretty Frank, even though the price had gone up, because I thought it was my usual deodorant and I needed some quick.It isn’t good anymore. I'm not sure how much of the issue is the new tube shape and how much is maybe a formula change (maybe more wax?). But it used to be a five-star product I depended on, and now ... it won’t spread well, and comes off the stick in little gross chunks. I have to rub them in with my hand, but it won’t go evenly. So I end up with an uneven sticky mess under my arms, with melted oil soaking through my clothes.After a few uses, the stick broke off down inside the tube and scattered a mess all over and got hair and lint in the part that snapped off and fell out on the floor. The old Pit Paste never did this — I still have a tube, stored next to the Pretty Frank, and it still works fine ... so it isn’t just cold or something. Anyway, I managed to shove the broken PF back in the tube and stick it together, but it just crumbles all over now, as if it has shattered, and it has become a hairy, aggravating mess only fit for the trash. I'm sick of picking it off my clothing and the carpet, and the wet melted oil marks always showing at the underarms of my clothes. It takes *two* washings to get it out of some clothes ... the product this replaced did not.And ... thirteen dollars. I paid thirteen freaking dollars, and bought a second tube before I found out this stuff had been changed. I already have all the (extremely inexpensive) ingredients on hand to mix up some baking soda deodorant, but I bought from this company because their product was in a convenient applicator tube. But ... the applicator doesn’t work now anyway.Thirteen dollars for one tube of deodorant is crazy even if they hadn’t changed the product: This product is not made from gold dust and crushed diamonds. Try something else.

I'm sitting here in stinky misery because I strayed from this deodorant. What better time than now to write a review than while I'm awaiting my delivery?I've tried maybe a dozen natural deodorants in the last decade and this is the only one that controls the odor. Every other one I've tried immediately has an undertone of odor that gets worse as the day goes on, even after re-applying.I first started using this back when it was Primal Pit Paste. Yes, the formula seems to have changed since then and it doesn't seem *as* effective, but it glides on easier (the previous formula you had to let it melt on your skin for a few seconds so you didn't end up pulling your pit skin) and still provides all day stink protection. It seems like there's less in the container now, or maybe more comes off now that it's smoother, because the new formula doesn't last as long as the PPP did. Not so great since it's so pricey, but it's the only deodorant that works for me.One of my favorite things is if I forget to immediately put the deodorant on after a shower, no worries. Even if I'm already starting to stink, I put this on and it kills any bacteria already making me smell. No other natural deodorant has ever done that.The only negative I have to say (besides pricing) is that it gives me chemical burns/rashes if I use it every day. It's so strong that I can go several days without reapplying, even after showering. Over time I've found a balance of using it only when I start to smell and that way my sensitive skin doesn't get a rash.If you're getting a rash/burns, stop use until it heals and then try using less frequently or switching off every other day with a milder deodorant.Even when I try to save a few bucks and buy a different deodorant, I always have to come back to this one. I apparently just stink so bad no other deodorant can compare so I swallow the price pill and keep buying.

Been using this deo for a while, but this last order the deo sticks were so dry they were not usable.

I wanted to switch to a natural deodorant after years of using a common store brand. I’ve been on a search to find a fully functional, natural deodorant, and an unscented one if I could swing it… I love this deodorant! I will say - it took a couple of weeks for my body to truly adjust to using it. The first week I felt the deodorant didn’t work at all and needed to adjust to the texture. I smelled body odor the first week… I have heard about the “adjustment phase” essentially your body detoxes from the chemicals/ your old deodorant - so I stuck it out! I can honestly say that after 3-4 days my odor lessened and by the second week it worked really well for 6-8 hours. When I exercise, I do like to clean my underarms with a water wipe and then add a fresh layer before kicking it up a notch in the sweat department. Also, I would advise you to keep this deodorant out of the sun/ the heat. On a long hot car ride, I melted one & had to use my fingers to spread it on like a paste - but it still worked! I’m subscribed, been on this Pretty Frank train for a few years now and I’m not getting off willingly! Love this brand! So glad I gave it a solid chance!

I previously gave this product 5 stars. When I reordered it took weeks to get my order. I was disappointed to learn the company changed the formula. It is more difficult to put on and doesn't last as long before I can smell body odor. As for the smell, it is fragrance free and doesn't bother my asthma. I will look for another brand.
