I PURCHASED THIS 65W CHARGER FOR A DELL LAPTOP, BUT BEFORE I EVEN RECEIVED IT IN THE MAIL, I DISCOVERED IF I WANTED TO USED OPTIONAL PERIPHERALS' LIKE EXTERNAL STORAGE AND/OR KEYBOARDS DEVICES ECT., THAT I WOULD ALSO BE NEEDING A DELL DOCKING STATION. THE DELL DOCKING STATING CAME WITH ITS OWN POWER SUPPLY. THEREFORE I NO LONGER NEEDED THIS FOR MY LAPTOP AND PLANNED TO RETURN IT TO AMAZON, BUT SINCE THIS 65W POWER SUPPLY IS ACTUALLY A SOLID STATE ELECTRONIC SWITCHING POWER CONVERTER IT AUTOMATICALLY LIMITS THE POWER AND VOLTAGES AS NEEDED FOR POWERING AND CHARGING MANY OF TODAYS PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES, BY AUTOMATICALLY LIMITING VOLTAGE AND CONTROLLING THE WATTAGE POWER BASED ON THE DEVICES REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS, THEREFORE PROVIDING THE MAXIMUM PROTECTION TO THE DEVICE CONNECTED.
